MTU was playing injured. They had the leagues best QB who was injured against GVSU. GVSU is a very unpredictable team. They have the best potential of all the GLIAC teams. It will be a battle next week at the Alerus. If any team can beat UND at Alerus it is GVSU. It will be a great game.

They have a great running back and a great offensive line. Thier defense is also very good. Thier QB is also very good but may be done for the season. To win the GLIAC they have to be good. The main reason GVSU beat them was because they had some key starter injuries in the first half. Not sure if it made a difference because GV was ahead when they went out. I think if they played the game in Houghton and made GV travel up there it may have been a different outcome. They put a serious whoopin on #2 seed Northwood 55-0 so they must be very good.

Actually I was pulling your chain. I really think UND has a good shot here. BTW, I heard they (MTU) are getting all the injured starters back for this game. As a comparison we have the common opponent in Ferris and it looks good for the Sioux. 45-0 vs. 28-6. Same with GVSU 24-6. Looks like UND is in the semis looking at those numbers.

Ain't gonna happen. Tech is unbeatable up at Houghton. Look for a foot of snow, high winds of Superior and below freezing temps in an outdoor stadium that doesn't have that much seating. I don't envy you guys at all to travel all that way to get your tails pummelled in.

They were better than I anticipated. Actually hung in with the champs.

Sorry to bust your bubble but it will be an all GLIAC regional final with GVSU@Northwood. UND will lose at Northwood.

MTU was able to convert all four scores/drives off Ferris penalties or turnovers. Final 28-6. Ferris also missed a short FG and extra point.

I can guarantee you Ferris will win at least two of the final 3 games because they are home against Tech (FSU has won 7 of last 10) and SVSU (lost to Mercyworst). Northwood is also very beatable at thier place because they will be coming off two straight losses when Ferris plays them (plus they aren't that good). Ferris plays well at home as you saw against Findlay. Another thing to remember Ferris usually fares very well against all three of these three teams. It is very possible Ferris finishes at 9-1 conference.

UND 45 Bulldogs 0 is my prediction.

Thanks RD17. I still get over there to read the posts though. My deal was not to post if UND won. Ferris could have had a bad game to boot. They should have taken the ball to open the game. Once they got behind the whole complexion of the game changed. You have to admit your QB played very well in that game converting 3rd and 4th downs on initial drive. I also expected our QB to roll out and scramble more and try to find Brewster on the slant. Once he gets the ball anything can happen. Ferris still has a shot to place second in the GLIAC if they win out. I don't think GVSU will lose in regualr season.
