  1. Hi NDFAN, I wasn't trying to start a civil war. Just mentioned it here for general North Dakota sports interest. GO FIGHTING SIOUX! GO BISON! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS!
  2. For those in Massachusetts, Since I can't stand mass transit, I will be driving up from the New Jersey Shore for the game against Northeastern. I am guessing it will take about five to five and a half hours. How far from Interstate 95 is the college and is it easy to get to from the highway? Are the parking lots safe? Thanks for any help.
  3. 5-0!!! Congrats Sioux fans. The NCAA has decided Maryland's win yesterday will be considered a forfeit since our defense NEVER ARRIVED IN THE STADIUM! Ugh. GO FIGHTING SIOUX! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS!
  4. Rutgers 38 Maryland 17! GO FIGHTING SIOUX--BEAT AUGUSTANA! ENJOY HOMECOMING NORTH DAKOTA FANS!
  5. Guys, Is the Alerus Center on university-owned land or is it on privately-owned land? If it is on private land, they should only be letting people into the area who are going into the dome. Why are they letting protesters of any kind near the stadium?
  6. Big A, If you want to sit with Sioux fans, you can put your name on a wait list at 877-91-SIOUX. I did this last year and I got a very good seat for the Dartmouth tournament. By the way, Northeastern's arena looks like the fans are on top of the team benches!!! I am REALLY hoping to make a day trip up for the Northeastern game. GO NORTH DAKOTA! GO RUTGERS!
  7. Tiny, we were in the Final Four...in 1976. We have been in a bit of a rebuilding period since. Most of the magazines have us picked to finish last--in a 16 team Big East Conference! Maybe we can just keep playing football all year long. GO FIGHTING SIOUX! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS!
  8. Jeremy, The Holy Cross College bookstore has a white one.Visit My Website
  9. If you are going to the Fighting Sioux games at Boston College October 19 and/or at Northeastern University October 20, and if you do not get tickets through North Dakota at 877-91-SIOUX, tickets are on sale through Boston College and Northeastern University. Boston College ticket office phone number is 617-552-GOBC and the website is www.bceagles.com. The Northeastern University ticket office phone number is 617-373-4700 and the website is www.gonu.com. I am REALLY hoping to make the game at NU. GO FIGHTING SIOUX! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS!
  10. Congratulations North Dakota fans on the 2007 season so far!!! 4-0!!! GO FIGHTING SIOUX--BEAT AUGUSTANA! GO RUTGERS--BEAT MARYLAND!
  11. Mrs. SiouxMeNow put those out so you would finally do some work around the house I don't know what kind of a crowd the North Dakota State game is going to draw. Within four days, we have three guys basketball games, a girls game against Stanford who usually has a very good team, and we have a football game at Army and 10,000 Rutgers fans are expected to make the trip up to West Point.
  12. Siouxmama, People at Duke pretty much have that attitude about football--something to do until Midnight Madness for basketball.
  13. I hear the Frozen Four is in Murfreesboro this year, Siouxdonym
  14. I have waited long enough. --The Big East Conference just announced that the University of North Dakota is joining the league next year!!! Hey if North Dakota State can be in a league with the New Jersey Institute of Technology, there is no reason the Fighting Sioux and Scarlet Knights can't be in the same conference. GO NORTH DAKOTA! GO RUTGERS!
  15. Are you guys more eager or less eager for the hockey season to begin as compared to last year? GO FIGHTING SIOUX--BEAT WESTERN WASHINGTON! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS--BEAT MARYLAND! "IF you really love your grandchildren, you will put their names on the Rutgers Football season ticket waiting list NOW!"
  16. By now, many of you have heard or read about the disgraceful behavior of SOME of our Rutgers students last weekend as we played the Naval Academy on ESPN. About 44,000 people, including over 10,000 students, were jam packed into Rutgers Stadium on a beautiful night to watch two very good teams. Unfortunately, about 200 students at my estimate not only booed the Navy players, but decided to yell a filthy, immoral, and low class chant at the Navy students at the game. This action would be bad enough at any time toward any school, but to do this to our military personnel who are defending our nation against terrorism is beyond belief. While I know our morals in America have been declining since at least the 60's, every once in a while I realize it is worth than I thought. My Dad served our country in the Marines/Navy in World War II and I am so glad that the man who took me to my first Rutgers game in 1976 did not have to hear this. I am sure some of you either are veterans, had parents who were veterans, or currently have children who are defending America in Afghanistan,Iraq, in other foreign nations, or here at home. I apologize to all of you for the actions of a minority of people connected with Rutgers University. Our school President and Athletic Directors have sent letters of apology to the Naval Academy and we have been told that there will be some changes at the stadium. We have scheduled football games aginst Navy and Army every year for the near future and I can only hope that this never happens again. Sioux fans, I hope you do not judge everyone in New Jersey by the actions of a relatively small group of "fans." For all of you who defend our nation, past, present, and future--THANK YOU and GOD Bless America!
  17. Visit My WebsiteNorth Dakota State will be visiting us this season. As far as I know, this is the first time any basketball team from the Dakotas has played Rutgers. This "Blue Ribbon Challenge" has kind of a strange format--three games in four days and then one more game five days later.
  18. Good luck today at Southern Utah!!! GO FIGHTING SIOUX! GO RUTGERS!--"If you love your grandchildren, put their names on the Rutgers Football season ticket waiting list NOW!"
  19. Bin, That is my favorite North Dakota jersey--hope they wear that at one of the "retro jersey" games.
  20. There is even a video out there of the Appalachian State students taking down the goalposts--ON CAMPUS-even though it was an away game and then they carried it to college President's house.
  21. Lots of stuff on YouTube about Appalachian State beating Michigan. I think this announcer has been listening to the Holy Cross broadcasters. Sure hope this link works---Visit My Website It is something like www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5PeJnRi6s
  22. AZSioux, Looking forward to Fighting Sioux hockey. How do you think this team stacks up to the past few Frozen Four teams? Hope to make the game against Northeastern University in Massachusetts. GO NORTH DAKOTA! GO RUTGERS!
