My point in bringing up anger in the student section is that a FU [school] cheer is not likely to happen again because there won't be anywhere near the anger there was for DU.

Part of the swearing was who UND was playing. Actually that was probably 95% of the reason for it. There was true anger in the student section towards Denver. You compare friday to saturday and it was a much different atmosphere and not just because of what happened in the game. Friday was one game, let's not overblow the situation. While many people here didn't like students swearing on friday and I understand that, I was dissappointed on saturday night. UND just tied up the game and the students are going crazy. So what's done? They are made to sit down. Baloney. While it's fine for students to be sitting much of the time, in this instance everyone else should have been standing up and cheering. Instead everyone else just seemed to sit there and do nothing. I think UND should hire me to fix both problems. The football games students seldom swear in organized chants. There is the BS chant about once a game and that is it. I think this may be because at football games, there is consistency in the rules. While I think some of the rules are stupid, they are the same every game. This isn't the case at hockey games and oftentimes the hockey games have idiotic rules at some games. Heck, security took away foam hands on saturday at the hockey game! They eventually gave them back, but still it was quite silly. The rules really do seem to change from night to night to night and game to game. On friday a guy was allowed to lean over into the PB and talk, on saturday he wasn't. Some days you can bang on the boards, some days you can't. Some days you can swear and no one cares, some days you get yelled at for saying butt. There is no consistentcy whatsoever. If REA would make rules and stick with them, it might just fix the problem.

Watching the end of the game, I think DU is #2 on the rivalry list. UND may have done some dumb things, but Denver was just as guilty. The two teams just don't like each other.

The only good part of the game was that Smaby, Porter and Prpich didn't shake Paukovich's hand and neither did Stafford. Other then that though, the game sucked and so did UND.

That first period was fun.

Thus making the ruling even more likely to occur. The NCAA looks like they are punishing IU for the nickname and mascot when they really aren't doing jack squat.

I'd put my money on Parise. One Blocker B^tchslap and Paukovich would be down for the count. Best news of the day, I picked up a lower bowl ticket for tonight's game and thus will be able to taunt Geoffy when he no doubt gets a penalty.

I don't know. Saying "They were saying stuff when I was on the ice but you got to expect that. That's the kind of team they are." seems kind of cheap. Especially coming from him.

I had a TA for a class that was from the US Virgin Islands. He arrived in December. The UND brochure lied. There was no snow in the pictures, it looked beautiful. Hillarious.

That was the same series where the student section chanted overated at UND.

I was told last year at the UND-Mansuko game in the Al, security had to be brought to the student section to keep the players out of the stands. The coach was challenging students to fight after the games, etc.

Looked like UNH got away with a crosscheck in their own zone right before they came down and scored. Still what a unneccessary penalty by Stafford that led to the goal.

When did Stafford lose an year of eligibility? He's a senior?

Those games haven't started yet. UND and UMD are both on the east coast, hence their games started an hour earlier than most WCHA games will start.

I don't think Jordy will be underrated for much longer. He has been nothing short of great thus far this year. Saw that coming, happens to UND all the time. UNH dominating, UND gets one chance and buries it. Glad it was finally the other way around.
