  1. Hey, I'm just telling you the truth. You may not like it, and you don't have to.
  2. I wouldn't put GF in the same eshcelon as Fargo in any category whatsoever. And Dilworth is a suburb of Moorhead about 5 miles from downtown Fargo. And besides, Fargo-Moorhead is more of a small city than a "mid-sized town".
  3. Fargo/Moorhead/West Fargo/Dilworth: 160,000 people Grand Forks/East Grand Forks: 60,000 people To say that these two cities are comparable is a joke, since Fargo/Moorhead has almost 3 times as many people. Fargo has left GF behind in the dust. That's like asking if Cedar Rapids is comparable with Des Moines. One is obviously bigger, has more money and more business and more entertainment, and that's it. That's why I say Grand Forks should stop trying to be like Fargo, and start trying to be itself. Because you'll never win. I'm not talking about UND versus NDSU (which are very comparable), I'm talking about the two cities. Anyone from GF who says that their city is comparable with Fargo is just trying to make themselves feel good. BTW, you're not even the 2nd-largest city in the state anymore, are you??
  4. Hey, Grand Forks: QUIT TRYING TO BE LIKE FARGO!!! You'll never be able to do it.
  5. You know what I mean, Dr. Freud.
  6. *sigh* For the 37,125th time from a Bison fan: The Bison womens basketball team will be REQUIRED to schedule at LEAST 25 out of their 28 games next season against Division I teams. I can repeat that to you if you want me to. Coach Ruley has earned the right to schedule as little Division I teams as she wants, because she's a living legend in women's basketball coaching. If Gene "The Mighty Pornstachio" Roebuck tried setting up a cupcake schedule in the 2nd year of transition (if the Sioux ever move up, which they won't), there would be a larger outcry. You can trash the schedule all you want. This year is only the 2nd in a 5-year transition. The women's BB team won't be allowed to play more than three non-DI's next year.
  7. I can smell the jealousy on you from all the way over here. You absolutely REEK of it. You personally seem to have a huge inferiority complex in relation to NDSU and you need to seek help right now.
  8. Jeez Louise. You even manage to knock the Bison when talking about GVSU football radio webcasts. Do you always express your obsession with us in public with others?? Don't they get sick of it?? Obviously you have some ingrained obsession of us in your mind 24/7 if all I ever hear from you in every single of your posts is knocks at the NDSU football program.
  9. That CanadInns will be sweet. GF desperately needs a building over 10 stories tall.
  10. I really don't trust metro population figures regarding cities in the RRV, because the area is so isolated that there's little towns 40-50 miles away from Fargo or GF that basically have nothing to do with either city. For example: Crookston is considered part of the GF metro area, but that town is almost completely seperate from GF/EGF in terms of economics and demographics. So I prefer to go by the population of the urban area proper. The current (2004 estimate) combined population of Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo-Dilworth proper is around 160,000. The combined population of Grand Forks-East Grand Forks-Grand Forks AFB proper is about 62,000. That makes Fargo-Moorhead over 2.5 times bigger than GF/EGF. One reason I think that Fargo is growing rapidly is because there's a large enough population base to work with. But I think The Flood had a stake in it too. I just have to be frank when I say that GF got destroyed from The Flood and Fargo didn't. And I think that made an impact on outside economic investment and migration. Now that GF is fully recovered from it, I think the pieces are in place for GF to make a bigger impact in the economic and demographic scene in the North Central US. But it will take time. I'd like to see downtown Grand Forks become alive again. I mean, all those nice-looking buildings sitting vacant is a darn shame.
  11. That Newberry score had me scratching my head. Coastal Carolina must not be a good team at all.
  12. I went by SCSU's new Husky Stadium a couple weeks ago, and while I truly believe it's a million times better than Selke, they really should've at least built the first phase to seat 6,000. I'm a stadium enthusiast (currently studying architecture), and hope someday to design stadiums and arenas, so I was able to get a good idea on how it was design-wise. It's very nice looking and clean, but again, too small. Even if the budget was a factor, I would think that SCSU could build a 1,500-seat or so visitors side made of metal bleachers. You'd be suprised as to how relatively inexpensive you can set something like that up. But even with something like that, there's bound to be not enough room for UND fans making the trip down to St. Cloud. The Bison had over 2,000 NDSU fans at Selke's last game last year, and I'd think there'd be around that number of Sioux fans at the game. Seeing that the past SCSU attendances have basically been sell-outs, the higher-ups there are going to have to do something about the seating shortage right quick.
  13. Jeez, SiouxMeNow, what's up your craw regarding NDSU?? Are you obsessed with us or something??
