Not only did moreland shut out the three teams in the tournament, he had 6 shutouts to end the year. That is INCREDIBLE at ANY level... even ND high school hockey.

How many shots do you expect him to stop in a row. He stopped like 3 shots before the next one went in. Im referring to the first goal of course

Oh... another thought. I think UND is in SERIOUS danger of missing the NCAA tournament altogether. This was thought to be impossible just a month ago.

Can't help but think about the goal that should of been. Pat Sweeney and company didnt have the guts to come out and say that the stick was clearly below the shoulders. Wish they had a good replay of the second goal that was disallowed.

Who knows if this is rock bottom or not. If UND loses today many of us would consider that rock bottom, but if we lose to wisconsin next weekend we can certainly go deeper.

Well.. first of all at the HS tournament there was 15 between periods. Second of all, the zambonis at sioux games don't usually get out until the 3rd or 4th minute of intermission anyway.

Hard to believe he would turn down scholarship offers from other schools just to go to UND. On the other hand.. HEEEEEEELP lol He couldnt be any worse than what we have now

No matter the outcome, it's very apparent that the gap between the West and East is getting smaller and smaller every year. The east has many advantages that the west doesnt have though, mainly depth of competition. After Bismarck High, Century and Minot it drops off quite a bit, plus the east gets the opportunity to play against more minnesota opponents.

I was at all games. Grand Forks central WACKED Devils lake 9-0 and should win the tournament GPR beat Century 3-2 in a very evenly matched game. Red River beat a young Bismarck team 3-2. Red River seemed to be the better team, but Bismarck should be strong next year. West Fargo came back late to beat a better Minot team. Shots were heavily on the side of Minot, but supposedly West Fargo has an awesome goalie. I wouldn't say either of West Fargo's goals were good ones, but then again i was on the opposite side of the area. I don't know why West teams can occasionaly beat these east teams in regular season play, but when it comes to the postseason it seems to be cursed. Oh well, the west has their dominate sports too.

Im definitely crushed at the recent play, but I still have faith they can finish strong. Should be a great weekend of hockey with UMD at home and the state hockey tournament in town. That's all i have to say.

Definitely. If UND can pull it together against UMD and wisconsin they have a reasonable shot at 3rd place. Minnesota plays Denver and St Cloud for the last two series. I think it's reasonable to hope they go 2-2 in these games. Also, Mankato has a tough series against CC. I suspect Mankato gets swept, if not that adds more fire to mankato bandwagon.
