I'd love to see UND offense find their groove again. If not I'll be worried in the playoffs. No kicking game and a predictable offense spells trouble. At 79 I don’t have many years left to wait for a deep playoff run.

This seems like a great accomplishment considering recent years. I hope this program really can turn the corner and be a competitive BB school again.

Ya right! Easy peasy! Play a very good Illinois State team at home, Tenn Tech on the road and beat Montana State on the road. Piece of cake right? LOL

Agreed. But you have have CONFIDENCE in your kicker on which to make a wise go or kick decision. We, including coaches, haven't had that in several years. Where are the Glas, Tagle, Mann, and others I forget, we used to have? Is it the talent, technique or the coaching? Something is wrong in the system when we haven't had a reliable FG kicker in years. Other teams don't seem to have a big problem or am I just uninformed.

The decision to go for it on 4th down inside the 2 is changing among coaches. The almost certain FG vs pinning the opponent deep is becoming popular. Stats show pinning the opponent is the better option. Of course it's a situational and in game decision, but if your D is playing well it can be game changing. With horse crap FG kickers the decision is straight forward. Now play selection by an idiot OC is another issue.

I don't think the committee will take 5 MVFC teams. ISUred, NDSU, and USD are likely in. UND vs SDSU for the 4th spot??? Real possibility.

Game against SDSU could mean loser not in playoffs.

This and several other games the last few years were winnable IF we had confidence in kicking FGs. You cannot be a confident winning program in todays game wo a reliable kicker. Period. UND has missed oppty after oppty to win or take a lead in games early for as long as I can remember. Playing FB wo kicking FGs is like wrestling with both hands tied behind you. Terrible handicap both in scoring and in decision making.

I think he is going to be very good. Just not there this year. Some game experience a year ago would have been wise. He's maturing fast, but his OC isn't helping much.

I am so tired of this ineptitude that prevails when the offense really needs to step up. Really? 0 for 4 in one score late game losses! Defense was fantastic. Offensive coaching and Jerry not so much. Crap!
