Anyone have any information on Freddie Schneider? I believe he just followed Bryn on instagram. He does not follow any other accounts related to college hockey teams.

DeMars just turned 16. We likely won’t see him for 3 years unless he has a breakout year. He could’ve been in next year’s cycle.

USHL and CHL training camps start in about 10 days. I would be surprised if any CHL blue chips commit during the season. If that is the case, we could be waiting until next spring to get decisions from Carels, Preston, etc. If Carels waits until next spring, I like our chances with him. Especially if we lose Livanavage and Wiebe. He is somewhat local and his sister also plays hockey at Jamestown. It would be nice to add a couple of recruits before the season starts.

Valentini going to Michigan this year makes me think that Eli McKamey is guaranteed to come in next year unless he has a rough year in the WHL. I know that him coming in next year has always been the plan. If we don’t bring him in early, someone else will.

Adam Valentini, projected mid-late 1st round pick in 2026, will play this season with Michigan. He was already committed but has decided to come in early. This is a very interesting move.

This might be one of the worst lists I have ever seen. So many head scratchers.

One or two of the five mentioned above will stay in juniors for another year. O’Neil needs a big year to make the jump. If all five of these come in, that still projects to be a good freshman class, imo. That being said, I think Bryn will mix it up a little bit to get his guys. He’ll want to get a guy or two to solidify the class. There are a ton of studs still out there, including Preston. I’m guessing he takes five freshmen and using the portal to fill any early departures.

Denver is a good landing spot for him as a player. Great coach and an opportunity to play on the top line(s) right away. Berchild and Beuker will immediately be two of Denver’s top players when they got on campus. Now that Beuker is crossed off of the list, the last freshman or two for 26/27 will almost certainly be from the CHL.

I wonder what this means for his plans this season. He will likely only play a couple of games before world juniors. This is probably the dagger for his chances of playing college this season.

Players have the right to hit the portal if they feel like they are being undervalued. Other than this past portal window, UND generally gets better from the portal. I would like to see us only use the portal to even out the classes once a player leaves.

UND is very young and if they are able to retain most of their guys, they may only have one or two freshman spots open for next season. They will be pretty selective with those spots considering how much talent is still uncommitted. I’m confident that UND will land one or two high end players for 26/27.

Outside of DuPont, he’s my top target for UND for 26/27. He follows Penn State and BC. He also follows Bryn, like @cberkassaid. He has followed Bryn within the last couple of weeks. UND is in the mix and it only helps that he is playing with Verhoeff and Williams for the next week or two.

My fault, I thought that you could play in the CHL until you turn 21.

Since the official team account is following Ollie Josephson, I am guessing he is at least committed. Looking at his history, he’s been the best forward for a bad Red Deer team. He just turned 19 about two weeks ago, which I believe would mean that he has two more years of CHL eligibility. Could he be for 26/27 or even 27/28?

Classes start in about 18 days, registration ends in about 28 days. It will be a high end player or a depth transfer, no in between. If it was anything else, it would have been announced a long time ago. They are likely running out the clock with these unsigned top guys and if they are unsuccessful, which is likely, they have a transfer lined up.

Im going to walk this back a little bit. I think we play Jubenvill or Laurila as our extra skater instead of an extra forward. I do think Young starts the year playing a limited 4th line role until an underclassman plays into that role. Who knows, maybe Young plays well enough to stay in the lineup. If UND gets a legitimate top 9 forward, Young will be watching a lot of games in the family section. I see Littler as our third line center or right wing, depending on the position of the last forward.

It depends on how many forwards dress. From what I saw last year, Andrew will be sitting a lot unless he had a good offseason. The other forward sitting will be a freshman that might be banged up or is struggling. I think Young will play most nights, at least. Opening night, I would guess that Klee and Andrew are sitting out with 13 forwards dressed.

Young is a move that frees up a roster spot in a year. He’ll suit up for every game and give us 10 hard minutes a night. He is out after this season and gives a recruit another year to develop in juniors. A move like that was inevitable and it beats having someone come in that the staff is not sold on long term.

He must’ve grown quite a bit. Elite prospects had him measured at 5’8” 146lbs. Granted, he is still 16 and has time to fill out. Who knows when that measurement was taken too.
