Much better place to be in compared to previous years

NIL only impacts UND, no other small schools are dealing with small NIL budgets. Can keep using it as an excuse or can go do something about it. How often have you seen UND MBB post about NIL fundraising? Have to go find the players who want to prove themselves rather than make a little more NIL to sit on the bench and not play

Co St was the first game of the year, Norte Dame it was never really out of hand till the end of the game, Bethune & Louisiana you dont put the bench squad in when its not out of hand yet. Conference games none of it matters. The NBA has the best players in the world, the dropoff from the starters to bench players is a low different than it was for UND. Its also college athletics you cant play every single person on the roster especially when you’re a middle of the pack low major team. Clearly from what Sather saw they weren’t ready to play and thats fine. They were RS freshman not RS seniors or juniors, they will definitely get opportunities this year in practice and games to prove themselves.

Just to note UND played 10 players 10+ minutes last year as well.
