Between period thought...Is anyone aware of any other WCHA teams having similar satellite service for home games? Perhaps a different satellite, but unscrambled like FSSN? Could be a good way to pick up away games not otherwise televised.

Why do they have empty seats? I'd love to be in one even as a Mankato fan....

I have the 85cm dish and it isn't helping me tonight. The bottom line is that we got it last year, so the difference is with the broadcast. Hopefully they can troubleshoot this soon.

You must not be on the satellite if you're unable to get CCTV. Also you may want to check the position of your LNB as if it is rotated out of position that will also cause you to lose those frequencies or channels. Just a thought and hope it works.

Just talked to Jaimie at the Ralph. He says it should show up on blind scan with vertical setting. But it's still not coming up on mine. Although he tells me UND is winning 3-2 so far. I tried manually scanning to no avail.

I'm not having luck with these coordinates. We're still supposed to be using the same satellite as last year, correct? (i.e. - the one that broadcasts CCTV). Am blind scanning with both vertical and horizontal, but getting no sioux hockey...

I agree that most 17 & 18 year olds aren't ready for NHL. Hopefully the NHL would only waste a pick on someone exceptional. In the current system, it seems plenty of college players who have already been drafted do indeed stay in college despite being a draft pick. They recognize that if they were to go pro they might just be playing in the minors anyway, so stay in and get a education and have fun playing in college.

If you judge by the excitement on the ice in a college game, I can't see how you can beat Hrkac. How many times did he lift an opponant's stick, steal the puck and score, sending the crowd into a frenzy? Parise is a great player too, but I don't think he quite got to the level of Hrkac in college.

From what I can tell, at least we can't be further stung by having had a bad call or stupid penalty tonight. (Adams anyone?) Time to cheer against the gophs....

The 464 channel on Dish is accurate. I checked my Dish Programming Guide and the game is listed on the guide for tomorrow.

I did buy the dish from the Ralph and have been happy getting all the home games and more. Shop the web for the same system as you can indeed get it cheaper. Setting it up and tuning can be tough, but is doable. I've got an instruction sheet I created after I had so much trouble that I'd be happy to forward to anyone who needs it.

Looked at the TV schedule from www.insidecollegehockey.com and they list NESN as carrying the Sioux v. Holy Cross game friday. They were right last week about the Clarkson game as well. If so, anyone with the sports package for Dish or Dish Network will get the game. Just a word about Jamie at the Ralph. I think he's done a great job dealing with a lot of calls and emails about the satellite feeds throughout the season. I certainly want him to keep the line of communication open with him next season. Everyone should drop him an email at some point thanking him for his help. On another note, maybe we need to start a board dealing solely with the satellite info for those with trouble and for newbies. I have a two page instruction sheet on how to set up, point the dish and program the receiver that I put together after struggling with it myself. I'd be happy to make it available to anyone or post it on a satellite specific board. Oops, games coming up, gotta go. GO SIOUX!
