yah probably not the year to ask people to tie up their money for at least two years.
Gotta pay for Bubbas extension somehow.
Yet another reason that affirms our decision to not renew our tix.

Dumping your season tickets or not going to games only hurts the programs. Less $ will make things worse.
the players need support and you won’t get players without $
True, but if enough people speak with their pocket books, then maybe Armacost/Chaves will make the necessary changes.
As a fan, I don’t like the direction the programs, other than hockey, are headed. And for the AD to be ok with current state of affairs doesn’t sit well with me. So I will choose to spend my money elsewhere. I’ve had season football tix for 10+ years. I’ve also attended many others sporting events than football. But apathy has finally set in with me. Sad to say, but it is what it is.- 1

Same with me.
The only reason I’m dumping is because that’s the only way the administration will listen. They’ll ignore the fan base emails, as evidenced by the acceptance of an avg to below avg athletics program outside of hockey and by rewarding mediocrity.

I dropped two of my four I decided. Sending chaves a message
I dropped all four of my season tickets. No faith in this athletic department outside of hockey. All sports are a distant second thought outside of hockey. It sucks but it is what it is.
I will email Chaves and Armacost, but know that it won’t cha be anything.- 2

I think Rohde made a terrible decision. Think he would have had a much more enjoyable season at UST. Now, the money is a huge thing so I don’t blame him I just don’t know how he landed on Virginia. Guys a stud, wish he would have landed somewhere else.
Umm, yeah. Playing at Duke, UNC, Louisville, Syracuse, etc etc etc vs playing in NoDAk, SoDak, etc.
Most kids dream of playing BBall with the big schools. Hard to come down on a kid who chooses to move up a level even if it doesn’t work out. He had the chance to play at the highest level and visit some pretty “historic” bball schools.

Potential Division I G5 Conference
UND
NDSU
SDSU
USD
Montana
Montana St.
St. Thomas
Northern Iowa
Denver
Omaha
-Eight teams with FB, two without.
-Seven game conference FB schedule. Plenty of room for G5 non-conference games and P5 money games.
Travel partners for MBB and WBB:
-UND/NDSU
-SDSU/USD
-Montana/Montana St.
-St. Thomas/Northern Iowa
-Denver/Omaha
Thoughts?
As nice as it would be to have UNI, they won’t leave the the MVC. St. Thomas will move on to a bigger profile Bball conference also.
Probably need two more western teams to get the Montana’s to bite. Most likely Idaho/Idaho St.

Was looking at flights to Chicago for a trip in May yesterday. To fly from Fargo price was $233. To fly from Grand Forks the price was $508.
Yeah....I will be flying from Fargo.
Ha, I just was doing the same and booked a flight out of Fargo for Mid May.

Getting completely screwed by not having a home game and playing the de-facto #9 seed on the road despite having a higher bid and when they were nowhere near the last team selected in 2022. Last year, even though they should have won and at least got a home game, Sac St was easily the toughest draw in the highest ranked match-up while a bunch of east coast cupcakes got to play each other. Add in having to get dressed in tents at McNeese in 2019 and you really start scratching your head. Two of those three literally caused rules to be changed because they were so egregious.
I know plenty will jump all over that about making excuses and I will absolutely be clear even getting a fair draw in the first round doesn't you past the second round (nor does blowing a lead against Richmond at home!), but to pretend UND's playoff draws have been anything but a joke over the last few years have not helped build some momentum and improved the results also isn't realistic.
UND should win at home in the playoffs. I don’t care how tough the draw is. Solid teams when at home when they are supposed. We had no clue on what to do, on D, against Sac St. We looked lost for much of that game…embarrassing.

The optics of Freund and Landry leaving are still issues. No question NDSU and SDSU have done better than UND of late on the court and field, but now there’s negative press on UND with their coaches leaving for NDSU and SDSU. It projects UND as being the inferior institution within the region. The only argument is hockey, which none of these rival institutions even sponsor. It puts UND into a vulnerable dilemma. Again, we can criticize individual coaches for having “no character”, but that won’t fix the much bigger issues. Plus, these coaches who are leaving are UND alumni. Why is UND not able to surpass NDSU and SDSU? Why is UND losing alumni coaches to these peer institutions as opposed to the other way around? These are straightforward yet incredibly important issues facing UND.
Easy. Money. It’s always about money. Until we invest in others sports not named hockey, nothing will change.

I am surprised with Danny being at UND basically his whole adult life, but I can't blame him. This is similar to someone on the Gophers staff jumping to Ohio State or Michigan, which is fairly common. It's just a better situation (unfortunately) and a better path to move up which at his age is his clock was ticking. Honestly a little surprised that SDSU didn't go for a little higher profile hire being we've won basically no playoff games under him, but I guess if this was just for a QB coach job it makes sense.
The problem here is that we are the Gophers in your analogy. No one wants to be like the gopher fb program. That’s the issue.

I left with 10 minutes to go…couldn’t handle it anymore.
I actually contemplated throwing my half drank beer on the court to show my disgust, but I refrained and threw it in the garbage instead…and it actually went in, unlike most of our teams shots.

First and last game I’ll go to this year. It’s very frustrating watching a new DI team come into your barn and dominate. Zero heart and zero pride from UND players and coaches. Night and day compared to what I saw from St Thomas.
it’s hard being a UND fan…

And Brady should be getting close to zero minutes. He brings nothing.

The energy from St Thomas coaches, players and their 10 fans is fun to watch. No energy, no enthusiasm from our side at all. We need to figure out how to play defense also.

Opened last weekend but grand opening is next week I believe. They’ll have a Crisp and Green and some type of coffee place on the main floor below Skies.
Went to the open house at Olive Ann last night night. A much needed addition to the downtown. Very nice. I also learned the Crisp & Green will no longer be located there. They decided to move into the old Huhot building on Columbia.

So Hong is 0-2 in the game, both 3 point shots? Am I reading the stat line correctly?

He has your back by explaining why NDSU ended up playing not even a non-D1 team but took it a step further and played a non-NCAA team? At least UND hasn't dropped that far in scheduling some home games.
Challenges against other conferences are a great idea. Unfortunately the other conferences have to agree to it. Fenton is already on record saying he's trying to help the conference improve their non-conference schedule, so it would seem he's on board. Can't force other conferences to do something they don't want to though.
Pretty sure VCSU is NAIA, which is non NCAA.
