That could explain the internet feed..? But I am Frustrated by the cut outs on the Radio feed...No Matter the Sport Football,B-Ball,Hockey they lose tranmission for parts of the broadcasts? I listen to alot of games on the internet. UNI, CU, CSU, Utah,Minn Dulth, Crookston, these guys do not have the problems UND has.....Obviously if the Radio Feed goes down you will lose the Internet feed also... They have additted to me that there internet connections are sub Bar at best... My question still remains...Why can we not do it right..? Hopefully the new Braodcast bids will include some updated Equipment and Technology...Because I feel UND Fans do deserve better...

I am Really FRUSTRATED by UND and Clear Channel Communications.... We have I feel Very Good and Knowledgeable Announce Teams for all Sports....(Fun to Listen to) Why we can not get a Steady Stream for the Internet, Is beyond belief? Why we can Not get a Radio Broadcast without Disruption is also Unbelieveable? Is not Clear Channel Communications a Multi-Million Dollar Broacasting Company...? We are the laughing stock of the NCC and Div 2 Athletics when it comes to Broadcasting,We deserve better...Other Institutions can do it...I Know beacause , I am forced to listen to the Oppents Broadcast.. BECAUSE WE CAN NOT DO IT RIGHT....Fix it UND and CLEAR CHANNEL I won't even bring up The Web Cast Fiasco......That is a whole other embarassment...

I for one totally agree with Und92,96.....In addition to the problems he has already stated, there are some more.... To compare anyting at the Betty with the Hyslop is poor...Thats why this supposedly New State of the Art facility was built was to correct the Problems at the Hyslop with Seating,Bathrooms,Concessions ect... The Designed layout is Poor,They have taken away a Large Pct of Supposeded locker rooms for The World Junior and REA Staff offices, alot of visiting teams have to dress in the ice rink?...Supose to have 8 fully functional locker rooms- I think we have 3 left? The accessibilty of concessions and seating is very poor....may be no better than a high school gymnaisum with leather seats......Addional cost each time we have concessions on end to cover wood floor...? Was never wired for the proper Tv and Radio accesibilties.. Undersized Equipment and Training room facilities.....were these even addressed at construction? Just took a storage room this year and make it into a weight training facility.... This was not made to be a Athletic Facility in my mind but a additional staging area for the GREAT WORLD JUNIORS???...... Sheetrockwalls(Can not use for any Practice,Softball,Baseball,Soccerr)Bathrooms to close to side courts for practice(INJURY?),Not proper lighting on side courts.....WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A DRINKIN FOUTAIN? As far as Game management we are still having Scoreboard,Clock problems...and it would be nice if people did not continually walk in front of you or the floor when the game was going on.....Do we own a Dust Mop? Just my Thoughts...I thank REA for this one....Had a chance to do it right and Failed.....thank god I did not directly foot anypart of the bill..?

Hey Tony, Why are we are still recruiting the same kids?

You answered your own question...By staying Div2 in the NCC Conference , It will be alot cheaper than playing Div 1 and having to fill a schedule of which,when you look down south the last couple of years have been 70% on the road... A little travel to 3-5 games shouldn't bust the budget..? If you can find or create your own Div 1 Conference then the costs will not be as great...But Div1 scheduling would defintley cost more in my opinion....

duke i agree, but i also find this interesting......i may have posted these comments in the wrong forum earlier... One of the things I find confusing is that to be at the Div1aa Level, our in state kids use to be NOT good enough, they needed more speed, more size, play better competition,.... It seems now that two local area football players that a couple of years would not have been good enough are the #1 prospects for a Div1aa school....So is it that now that we are all still recruiting the same kids? i too root for local in state kids, wherever they end up....

totally agree dakotadan..... but are we going to be able to raise the money..? as far as nonconference, why not spend some dollars to play teams in the gliac,miacc,rmac,and once in a while bring in, or go home and home with north alabama,kennisaw state,valdosta,bloomsburg...ect...there are over 250 div2 schools in america... we do not have to play the dac 10, or naia,....maybe a top couple in the nsic, for regional purpose.... i would think the money would be alot less then a full div 1 schedule with 70-80% on the road like down south....?

I hope everyone realizes the cost of such a move?...I really do not buy the Watch the Bison arguement, beacause I know of no one who does that?, A Sioux Fan is a Sioux Fan...They were not streaming to Fargo tonite to catch NDSU men play Utah Valley State,,I guessing Women vs Saginaw Valley Drew around the same...Div1 Men vs Div2 women..? Coaches Salaries,Support Staff,Administration,Travel, Game GTD's,Officials,all these costs go up.... So Attendance, and Ticket prices will have to...just to keep are heads above water.. Not to Mention the Increase is Scholarships, and Gender equity dollars to try and make us competative?

You guys are missing the most important of Points.......? WHERE ARE WE GOING TO GET THE MONEY??? There are alot of good fits,Conferences we can make or join....HOW ARE WE GOING TO SUPPORT DIV1...? We will have to at least Double our current Budget....That by the way lost money again last year....with a 4 year old FREE REA?
