Agree, nobody has xfinity. I have directv and a little streaming. In st paul I can watch 10 college hockey games every weekend, but rarely UND. UND has virtually no exposure in the TC metro.

I wouldn't say "nobody" has xfinity as I have it and also have Midco in my cable package. The channel shows most of the UND home hockey games as well as UND home football games. It's a good channel to have to catch UND sports if you live in the Twin Cities.

Wow, you are really a douch. I take the high road and apologize and you take the cheap shot.

  3. I apologize to the other posters that my rhetoric with UND-FB-Fan & Siouxfan97 got out of hand. We all love our schools and academic/athletic programs but at times our pride in defending our schools gets a little heated.  I have had many friends attend UND and had family members play sports at UND and they said their experiences at UND were great. The state of North Dakota should be proud to have these two fine institutions representing their state.

wrong...only one sport where there are 2 levels in d1...football...would love if und won one soon...Eric is doing a great job rebuilding (quickly)....but if we win one i'll be excited but I won't be like the ndac saying bring on bama...(especially if you beat a double directional school for the 1aa title)....

I do agree, the bring on Bama remarks by some NDSU fans are completely dillusional.

so if ndac wins a natty in wrasslin it doesn't count bc und dropped it 30 years ago...ok then

    8-0

    30>4 in competing sports

    30>12 all sports championships.

Lets just agree that both schools are very strong in certain sports.

No, one school is good academically, the other is simply ok but in a larger metro (yet still attracts far less students)- that is literally all.

Each school is in fly over country so, I wouldn't brag too much.

how many d1(a) titles does ndac have?

    ill hang up and listen

    The answer is zero.

How many titles does UND have compared to NDSU in the sports they both compete in currently or in the past.

    I'll hang up and listen.

If you want to farm, you go to the ag school of fargo; if you want to own the farm (and still produce the precious food you use as a petty argument in this context), you go to UND.

I can play this too. If you want to participate in sports you go to UND; if you want to win Championships you go to NDSU.

Lets end this by saying both schools are very good academically and athletically.

Well I’m obviously going to get “all bent out of shape” after someone named hockey1 goes out of their way to calculate all that and type it up.

You’re probably a country bumpkin ag school central supporter who just happens to like hockey, but I don’t want to jump to conclusions, so I apologize if that isn’t true. Too bad poor little ag school central of Fargo don’t support hockey. Oh well, good luck in the fields this year, or driving truck, or whatever …

And yes, by the way, you’re right that both ag school central of Fargo and UND are fine institutions, but what you failed to mention is they aren’t just built on sports championships. They were actually founded on education, and for that, one is clearly superior. In fact, with that, the ag school is most certainly the “little brother” while the other is clearly the Flagship and it’s not the one in Fargo.

But this is a sports and football thread, so you can take your +1 for the day and have it ..

    onward

I accept your apology about being a country bumpkin as I am not a farmer, never been a farmer and  currently live in a major metropolitan city. Nice try to stereotype all current and past students at NDSU as farmers. I'm willing to bet there are students at UND that come from farm communities. As for taking cheap shots at NDSU for being an AG school you are right, Ag degrees are big at NDSU. It's just sad you make fun at farmers who work their asses off to provide us our food.

As for the championships, you are the one that said UND is far superior than NDSU and I just pointed out that NDSU has way more national  championships than UND even with UND having hockey and NDSU doesn't.

Oh well, good luck in whatever you do and whatever city you live in.

    Onward.

Good work setting the record straight…

I’m not making the key point he tried to make… UND is far superior to NDSU. **There’s no “little brother syndrome”**

As for athletic championships, NDSU doesn’t even sponsor hockey, just like UND doesn’t sponsor baseball or wrestling, so really it’s all a disqualification right now on true discussion in terms of overall championships between both institutions.

But yes, we can credit BOTH UND and NDSU with their division II women’s basketball championships if that makes you feel better with the facts.

    onward.

As for the question that was asked in an earlier thread about how many overall national championships does NDSU have compared to UND the answer is:

    NDSU - 30 (football - 18) (Women's BBall - 5) (Cross Country - 1) (Wrestling - 4) (Women's track and Field - 1)

    UND - 12 ( Hockey - 😎 (Women's BBall - 3) (Football - 1 ).

In sports that NDSU & UND  compete in against each other it is:

    NDSU - 30

    UND - 4

So, UND-FB- Fan, I wouldn't brag that UND is " far superior" to NDSU. The championships prove otherwise.

Before you (UND FB Fan) get all bent out of shape, UND has a fine athletic history just like NDSU. Both schools are very good academically and athletically. They both represent the state of North Dakota very well.

Women’s basketball irrelevant also? You bring up wrestling in response to hockey, because they’re only sponsored by one of the institutions, but football is sponsored by both. Well, I would then bring up UND WBB, which won three nattys in a row.

All in all, it is a ridiculous take to pick and choose different sports to argue this.

When you look at everything overall, if there is any little brother, it’s the little ag college in fargo…

Both schools (NDSU & UND) are very good institutions where they both offer very good education. As for sports, it would be interesting to know how many championships each school has in all sports they each compete in.

Little brother syndrome? That’s laughable. Ag school of fargo has nothing on THE University of North Dakota. Check enrollment lately?

Except NDSU has 18 national football championships to UND's 1. I wouldn't say that's nothing.

He pulled the goalie down one at 3 minutes and gave up 2 empty netters then puts the goalie back in to give up another. Should have waited until 2 minutes to 1:30 when he pulled Heil.

True, he did pull his goalie with three minutes left but the US had the draw in Canada's end but lost the faceoff which led to the empty netter. Down 4-2 he pulled his goalie again and the US gave up another empty netter. It might have been early on the first pulled goalie but IMO he was going for the tying goal which i dont think is giving up. Hell, Blais pulled his goalie early quite often and at times it worked and times it didn't. I dont think Blais was giving up when he pulled his goalie early.

Minnesota announced a hockey-specific NIL. If Motzko wasn't in over his head that would have happened sooner!

Why do you think Motzko is over his head as the head coach of Minnesota?

As they should be. IMO you never root for a rival even though they are in your own conference. Rival>Conference allegiance

Must be a und hockey / ag school football banger … gotta love that type. You keep doing you, in your fantasy world, and I’ll continue with facts.

Wow, all I suggested to you to support your claim was to provide some facts to ALL the cheating that NDSU has done. Instead of providing facts you go all ahole on me.
