Yeah.....Drew's lucky it ended when it did. But he stood up for his teammate so kudos to him for that.

The area where we always stood was right against the glass above the net that the Sioux shoot on twice (if I remember correctly). You can also stand above the seats, but I don't think those would have been as much fun. Don't know if they're having it this year, but the alumni party was always fun to attend too. Can't remember the name of the place, but I'm sure Dagies remembers. I just remember the waitresses (and saying to my brother, "Those aren't buoys!") and winning a "Sioux Across the Nation" t-shirt with the organizer saying to me and my group, "Those guys have been here all day!"

They're seeing why Sioux fans loved watching him play for 2 years. ZPar has definitely turned it up as of late.

I think they all know that regardless of if they stayed for 4 years or only played 1 year, they're still a part of the Fighting Sioux family, and that the fans are thankful for the time they played for the Sioux. Look at Belfour...played what, one year? And has never forgot his roots.

Zach Parise nets his 24th goal of the year on a great 2nd effort chance. Goalie made the first save and Zach banked in the 2nd chance from behind the red line, off the defensemen's stick.

Hak post-game comments: Pretty similar to last night. Kind of slug it out. Wasn't the prettiest WCHA game we'll ever see, but the points look darn good. Regardless of what's happening around us, our sole thinking is find points every night, however that is. Real proud of the guys for the win. 1-0 is not an easy game to win. The last 8-10 minutes of the game, we had to grind it out. Great play by Oshie to get Duncan the puck, and Duncan made a heck of the play to get it to the top of the net. As it turns out, that was the one we needed. Lammy didn't see a lot of top quality shots, but tough shots through traffic. Phil played great positionally, and let the play come to him. We got more out of everyone tonight. Not a lot to show for it offensively, but we had 20 guys in the lineup tonight.
