Still have mine.

Tech nearly gets one as Eidsness comes out to try to play it, putting himself out of position. Tech shoots it just wide.
-
Gregoire with a good chance. Sioux trying to open it up.
-
Trupper!!!!!! 2-0! EDIT: TH says Malone may have tapped it in. EDIT: Trupp gets the goal.
-
Cross checking on Blood. Tech PP again, as it was 4 on 4.
-
Tech with a penalty. Let's go Sioux PP!!!
-
Yeah, the week I had Gregoire, and he had an open net, he chose to pass off, and the whole play fell apart, knocking me out of survivor!
-
TH says Brad thinks it went off Gregoire, so it could change to him. Regardless, 1-0, Sioux after 1.
-
GOAL!!!!!!! Kristo shot, but went off someone. EDIT: Sounds like Kristo goal!!!!
-
High stick penalty on Tech. Looks like a 2 min PP for the Sioux! Let's go boys! Period break will split the PP unless we score.
-
That's the problem with playing Tech. The longer you go without scoring, the more they suck the energy out of the flow of the game. If you score early and often, you take them out of their game and make them play more wide open.
-
But always good if you're not watching close and you hear it and hurry to see the goal!!!

Yeah...my 3 year old won't fall for that. She knows exactly what Sesame Street is. I will let her watch whatever on DVR, so I can catch a good portion of the game, but I'll still be pulled away at times. Alaska was one of the few series I got to watch from beginning to end without interruption, because she was in bed!
-
Watching the 3 year old by myself tonight, so I'll be in and out. GO SIOUX!!!!!
-
That's true. I didn't even think of that. Actually, now that I've thought about it a little bit, Knight has actually played well, and may do well on that line. They need something to spark it, as I think they've really underperformed.
-
Interesting line changes. Not sure if I agree with it, but hey, that's why I'm the fan, and Hak's the coach!

Everything seemed to fall into place that year, including BU beating Michigan. After we won the semifinal game, I still didn't think we stood a chance at winning it all, as I thought we'd be playing mighty Michigan. BU pulled off the shocker, but couldn't complete the feat, as they lost to us.
-
Didn't they do that? Wasn't that what was happening when a couple of players were throwing things out the window? Making improvements?

You make it sound like the Sioux had a unstoppable team in '96-'97. If I remember correctly, it was the OT goal at the Final Five by Pete Armbrust that gave us the #1 seeding and motivation to make the playoff run that we did. Such a magical season though. I think that was the year we had 4 or 5, 5 goal periods, including the 2nd period of the national championship game against BU.

I really want us to win both of these games, but I don't think it's a must. I think a lot of people forget, especially with the start the team has had this year, how young this team really is. 17 underclassmen (Sophomores and Freshman) on this team. Yes, we have a lot of talent in those 17 players, and I think we're seeing that, but it's the WCHA and we're on the road against a team everyone expects us to beat. Jamie Russell has done a pretty good job at Tech with what he's had to work with, and the traditional Tech system that they apply will, IMO, give us problems again this weekend. Like I said, as a Sioux fan, I want all 4 points (every weekend), but it's roadtrips and games against teams like this that really help us grow as a team. A hiccup here and there isn't always a bad thing for a young team. I'm really hoping for a good showing as a team this weekend, including the younger players.

He needs to. I'm wondering if he's gripping the stick too much or what, because with all the chances he's had, he should have one already. I think once he gets one, the floodgates may open for him.

The trip to Houghton never seems to be easy. Similar to the Alaska trip. I see us winning one game, and hopefully both, but wouldn't be surprised if we dropped one or tied one there. At least it's not Winter Carnival weekend!!!

I thought that one area of Indiana started changing last year. Maybe I'm wrong though.

He's at home watching his 19 inch black and white, convincing himself that HD is overrated, and does not actually make hockey better to watch.

And it's guys like Mario that complete a team. The guys who may not have the God given talent of Toews, Parise, or Oshie, but realize that, and put in the effort necessary to give everything they've got to the team we love.
