As much as I want them to win it all, I don't see New Jersey getting past the 2nd round. Any time the Devils have played a physical team this year, they struggled to stay in the game. In the playoffs, the game gets more physical. Tampa Bay has also had their way with the Devils this year, and they match up in the first round. My prediction....if the Devils some how get past the first round, they won't make it past the 2nd round. Buffalo vs San Jose in the finals.

Kozek's stock has dropped considerably, and if he doesn't start performing better next year, I have a feeling Atlanta will be releasing his rights. Granted, he was basically on a checking line the last half of the season, but that's probably largely due to his lack of finishing in the first half of the season. Go Devils!!!

I understand that and that's what I've been saying. Scoring a shorty can give a team momentum, which could have been the result for the Sioux after killing the original 5 on 4. It could have been a completely different game for the final few minutes. Not saying BC wouldn't have won, but the Finley crap call certainly didn't help us or hurt them.

The last player to return to college after winning it was Ryan Miller. Since then, all have left earlier or won it their senior year.

I was thinking there was only 26 seconds left after Oshie's goal, which may have just been what I noticed when I looked at it on the screen. With the Finley penalty, the goal was scored 5 on 4, but it was basically a 5 on 3, as the penalty had just expired to make it 5 on 4, and the Sioux player was no where in the play. The first penalty was just about killed, which could have added to the momentum for the Sioux after Oshie's goal, but the ref felt he'd better give BC another crack since there first PP ended up in a shorty for us.

I don't think anyone will argue with you about that call. It was a really crap call and coming at the time it did was very unfortunate. As you said, BC may have still won, but this penalty came right after Oshie's shorty, and momentum could have switched after the Sioux killed off the remaining 26 seconds of the penalty. It's one of those things we'll never know.

I can relate Sioux Hab-it! After the loss last year, when everyone was saying how Oshie and Toews would stand out this year, I made sure to add Dunc's name to that list. The goals he scored throughout last year's playoff run really made him stand out in my mind as someone who would be a factor in this year's team.

As always, Dunc gives the praises to his teammates before himself. Class act, and I hope to see him back for another year! Way to go Dunc's!!!!

If I recall, BC has 2 national titles, but I see your point. BC has been a college hockey powerhouse for over a decade, so Goofer fans sporting their jersey's doesn't have the same effect as Sioux fans wearing Holy Cross jerseys. No one expected Holy Cross to contend for the national championship, and people can't say the same thing for BC.

Regardless of the outcome, I still love Fighting Sioux hockey. Let's make the most of the last 16 seconds.

I agree with that. Kaip has had a few good sparks, but other than that, that line has been on their heals. However, they're playing against BC's really quick line too.

I agree with Finley as well. Been beat a few too many times. Genoway at least has made some plays from the heart, so I don't include him yet.
