Are you certain that any player, outside of Parise, Okposo, and players of that caliber, will tear it up? There are a lot of players that simply don't measure up to expectations. Massen was supposed to be better than what resulted. Goren was supposed to be an impact player right away too, yet I can still hear Blais's voice yelling "Lee" every game he played in his first year. My comment was aimed at refuting the "kid's" comment of every player who plays in the USHL or on a junior team will have better skills. That's simply not going to be the case, and there are always going to be some players who surprise everyone.

That would be sarcasm. Where the majority of players who do play in the USHL are better prepared for college, it's not the truth in every scenario. Brian Lee came right out of high school as well. Where people on this site would argue that Lee never amounted to much, he logged a ton of ice time his first season and contributed regularly. Your statement reads as it's always the case, which it clearly isn't.

JPar assigned to Lowell today. Looks like Weekes will be able to play the backup role. However, the Devils did put Doyle on waivers, so it looks like JPar may get a lot more playing time this year. JPar assigned to Lowell.

That's like a slap in the face to the Senators and McAmmond as he was expected to start the season in the AHL. So, basically, the kid gets no punishment for the incident. What comes around goes around, and I'm sure the Senators, as well every other team, will have their eyes on him when he does make it to the NHL.
