  1. Hmmm, must be something wrong with this. Isn't he the weakness on this team??
  2. It's good to see some women feel that way. Unfortunately, not all of them do. However, my wedding took place in August. My ex-wife knew better than to even think about scheduling it during hockey season.
  3. It's usually later the same night, around midnight or so, when it becomes available. All depends on what time the game ends, and how quick they are. I know the Michigan State game was put on demand at about 11:30p.m. Manitoba was a little earlier.
  4. About as old as you.
  5. Hey, you do that yourself!
  6. It is way too early to talk about the Hobey, at least seriously, but it's fun to speculate. It is somewhat of a team award. If your team doesn't have a winning record, I highly doubt you're going to be in the running for the Hobey. And where I do think Panzer was deserving of the Hobey, it's hard to argue that Miller didn't deserve it either. He did have some amazing numbers. I just like giving PCM a hard time, as he's always been supportive of his fellow Miller.
  7. I think he'll definitely be in the Top 10, and has a good shot at getting in the hat trick as well.
  8. Parise finally gets a goal in tonight's Devils/Lightning game. He had about 4 chances in the first period, but couldn't connect. His chances in the first were some pretty chances, while his actual goal was a chip in. Doesn't matter how they go in! Zajac gets an assist on the goal.
  9. Good to hear Forney's going to get another shot on Friday night. Also good to hear that the team feels there's good cohesiveness this early in the year. Hopefully, that only gets stronger as the year progresses! Thanks PCM.
  10. Classy. Thanks AZ!
  11. That explains why the Huskies were so physical on Friday night. They really came out banging, and definitely beat us in the 1st period on hits, now we know why. Best of luck to Ben and the Russell family.
  12. Yeah, what he said!
  13. Reading this board Friday night/Saturday morning, one would think that we were 1-3-1 or even worse. Not that everyone was pessimistic, but there were a fair amount around. Definitely happy with this start, though I am concerned with Phil giving up 2 goals already this year.
  14. Barring a serious/career-ending injury in the next 5 years, I don't think he has much to worry about after his career in the NHL.
  15. Yeah, I agree. I don't know if we can have faith in him. I mean, two goals allowed???
  16. You'd have to think he'll get at least one game next weekend. Hak was big on him last night in the pre-game show, and was just as big on him after the game, so I'd think the only way he wouldn't play next weekend would be for him to have a lousy week of practice. Hopefully playing time in this first game gets him even hungry for the future, and we see the potential in this kid that the coaches saw in him when they recruited him. He definitely had some great scoring opportunities last night.
  17. It's all about the credibility!!
  18. Yeah, it will be another rough and tough weekend in the WCHA. Scotty Owens will have his team ready. I thought it was amusing after the CC/Minny series how the entire FOXN sports team were just ripping the Gophers. You know....a Sioux fans dream!
  19. CC swept by New Hampshire. St. Cloud swept Bemidji. Denver game still in progress, but no updates yet. AA and Mankato not started yet.
  20. I thought it was more that the Gophers looked lousy, than the Tigers looking that good. However, we can't overlook them by any means. Points are points in the WCHA.
  21. CC swept by New Hampshire. They'll be hungry next weekend.
  22. TH Stars of the Game: 3rd Star: Duncan 2nd Star: Oshie 1st Star: Jean-Phillipe PSDoors Player of the Game: T.J. Oshie
  23. Hak Post-Game Comments: I think we came out very similar to last night. We came out hard and strong. The difference, we had no real walls tonight. Obviously, you get some success offensively, it gives you a little more jump. Not sure if Oshie wiffed on first goal or was trying to do that. May have been trying to go one-timer to Duncan. Ended up going in though. Phil plays with such passion, even now in the dressing room, it takes him a while to settle down, cool down. He's just so tough physically and mentally into the game. I thought we did a reasonably good job on the PK. On their 5 on 3, they had some nice chances, and Phil did his homework on the backdoor play, and Phil made the glove save. We talk about Oshie, Vande Velde and Duncan loosening up, I think they did that tonight. They all contributed on the 5 on 3 goal, and that told me they had loosened up. Forney gave us good minutes all the way through. For not having played for a while, he showed good poise with the puck. Little simple things. Gaining lines, gaining zone, chipping the puck forward, good solid play, and that's what we wanted out of him tonight. We didnt' want to back off in the 3rd period. There were some things we wanted to work on. However, there is a certain level of respect in the game, so why not give other guys a chance, they've worked hard too. We wanted to work on a little different look in our defensive system. We probably weren't as dynamic on our offensive side at that point, but that's okay. I think Tech will end up being a Top 5 team. That's what every one wants. Top 5 this year may mean a NCAA berth. I thought we deserved a little better fate last night, but we came back nice tonight. Would be a heck of a long ride going home without the 2 points. Next weekend is Alumni weekend. Need to stay focus on the team that we're playing.
  24. PCM, Oshie and Dunc's must have read your post last night when you asked, "Where's Oshie and Duncan this year?"
