Thanks for info. I hope he is healthy and can play.

Give them a couple of years and they will be one the top FCS teams. I see the same trend with North Alabama as I saw with NDSU when they moved up to FCS.

Who is Tank?
-
We have 2 excellent return guys! One is one of our All American WR!!
-
Hard to say, but my guess, and of course it is a bias view, would be: Kats 49 UND 28
-
Our backup QB, Ty Brock, 6'4" 210lbs, is probably a better passer than our starting QB, Mike Dare. Ty Brock was a 3 Star QB recruit by Rivals.com, 247 Sports.com and Scout.com, and was the 11th rated QB in the State of Texas, and 67th nationally, coming out of high school. This kid has a rocket for an arm!

Eat'em Up Kats!
-
PAC 12 cannot compete with SEC or Big Ten or ACC or Big 12
-
Hahahaha..............UND will be very competitive and may actually beat the Kats. I am worried about how well our run defense will be at stopping your running attack.
-
Here is a sample of just the FBS transfers, not complete list: Spence Williams – Missouri Transfer Josh Moore – Missouri Transfer Will Lockett – UCLA transfer Zack Kinninger – Fresno State transfer Brailyn Franklin – Penn St . transfer Eric Flower – Texas transfer Matt Burrell – Ohio St transfer Hunter Brown – West Virginia transfer Ty Barrett – TCU transfer SEC offers were given to: our two All American WRs and Chris Stewart (who is a Wake Forest transfer) Moses Johnson – DL 6’4” 260lbs Redshirt Freshman

if so, then our new QB will struggle just like he did with Prairie View. Last week game at Bowers Stadium featured lots of rain and lightning delay of 40 mins. Accordingly, it became woefully apparent that our QB cannot throw the ball well in rainy situations.
-
very true, but same source of recruits is what my point is. Many of our KATS have received offers to play in the powerful SEC conference, but for reasons such as grades, etc, they ended up at SHSU.
-
PAC 12 not a strong conference like SEC
-
I know our HC, KC Keeler, is very concerned about UND's rushing attack, so I would not be surprised if he puts 8 in the box on Saturday and dares UND to throw the ball. This is a very intriguing matchup that I am excited to see!
-
We have two All Americans at WR. UND will be very surprised at how talented these WRs, perhaps realizing they are better than a mid tier PAC 12 team UND played last weekend.
-
Believe me when I say, our Coach is designing a team to beat NDSU and win a natty. Will it be there year? Who knows. But I feel we are getting closer with the talent he has been able to bring to Huntsville, Tx. KC Keeler has been recruiting nationally over the past 3 years, which will help in making this team better in the long term.
-
If this plays out, UND rushing the ball at will and Kats throwing the ball at will, then it turn out to be a very high scoring game.
-
Big concern, as in the case with all of our deep playoff runs, is how our Defense stacks up against the run. Our run defense has been horrible over the years

Source: https://www.shsu.edu/dept/student-activities/tradition.html Early references to "Bearkats" spelled the name either "Bearcats", "Bear Cats" or "Bearkats". A bearcat actually is a kinkajou, a carnivorous mammal native to South America 10 to 12 inches in length with whiskers like a cat that sits up on its hind haunches like a bear. A nocturnal creature, it is known to be ferocious if provoked. It is doubtful those who coined the "Bearkat" nickname had a kinkajou in mind, however. More likely, the name came from a popular local saying of the time, "tough as a Bearkat!"
