  1. For those with directtv sports pak, another chance to record the NCAA's, as ESPNU will replay several of the games (including ND/BU and ND/BC as well as the FF) in both May and June.
  2. Camrose, trailing throughout the RBC championship game, scored to tie the game with 35 seconds left, but a bad giveaway with 19 seconds left allowed Weyburn to score the game winner. THe under .500 host from the SJHL wins the RBC.
  3. Bet the REA will organize another fan trip to UNH (like Maine last year). Unfortunately, it's once again during prime duck time.
  4. Russia came back but fell short losing 4-3. See Ovechkin and Malkin involved in the third period goal, flashback to the WJC.
  5. Could he be a relative of Erwin Martens (76-80, Cartright, MB)?
  6. MTS does look nice. No more Eatons; guess it's been too long since I've been to Winnipeg. On another note, the Bismarck Bobcats are switching from one former Sioux coach, Chad Johnson, to another, Dane Litke.
  7. Duluth recruit Mason Raymond is getting lots of attention from the pro scouts at the RBC. They're projecting him as a first round pick. Looks like Scottie lured a good one to Duluth. Host, under .500 team Weyburn beat #1 ranked Camrose yesterday, and will go into the semi's as the number one team. Portage will play Hawkesbury tonight, loser out, winner goes into semi's as #4.
  8. Can't access the World's live link any longer, but Czechs have scored twice in the first half of the third and the game is tied 2-2 late (shots are like 45-25 Czechs). Canada up now 5-4 late in the game vs Slovakia.
  9. Second period PP goal by Parrish from Parise and Hauer puts the US up 2-0. Modano scored the first. US is getting outshot by a fair margin. Canada/Slovakia tied 3-3 after two. Palffy stopped by Brodeur on a penalty shot for the lead.
  10. Sounds like this is a different arena than the "Winnipeg Arena" where the Jets played?
  11. Goren has scored his 8th of the AHL playoffs to tie the game tonight at 1-1 after one period.
  12. Judging from listening to the Amerks announcers, the Heerema, Kesler, Goren line is really dominating, they are also out in all situations, including PP and PK's. You'll likely see a lot of Goren since he logs a ton of ice time.
  13. Who in GF is volunteering to send us the "75 years" book for a dollar. Couldn't find it online, must have to be in GF to get this deal. Or is it over and they're all gone now?
  14. Goren has scored two PP goals in tonight's game, but Rochester leads 4-2 in the third. (Edit: Kesler has just made it 4-3, assists to Heerema and Goren, Goren now with 10 points in the playoffs). (Edit 2: The Moose have tied it, but have taken a 5 minute high sticking major with 5 minutes left in regulation)(Edit 3:Penalty killed, going to OT, Rochester took 2 penalties with a second left in the game, and the Moose start OT two men up-but fail to score, OT continues) Chicago wins 5-2, Roche not involved in the scoring.

  17. From today's GFH, all games will be played in the betty.
  18. ZP is listed in the lineup today on the third line with Statsny and Gionta. US leads 3-0 after two.
  19. Canada lost to Sweden yesterday and tied Finland this morning. US vs Sweden coming up this afternoon.
  20. OT, or an immediate shootout? Or just a tie?
  21. US scores twice to go ahead 3-1 in the third, but Finland scores three straight to lead 4-3 with very little time left.
  22. ZP is again not in the lineup this afternoon vs. Finland, game tied 1-1 in the 3rd.
  23. How are the webcasts? Good quality? I see they've reduced the prices since the tourney started.
