  1. just didn't want someone try and aim a dish with the wrong info and last I checked I wasnt following you around. I was correcting an error
  2. symbol rate is 20000
  3. when you scan satellite 121 there should be a "congrats you are at Superdish 121" screen doesnt sounds like you are on 121. There is only 15 or so scrambled Dish channels on there.
  4. They're not. They are on "locally" on My14 Wisconsin and replayed on Wisconsin Public TV FSN has the Yucks on Friday and WIAC basketball tourney on Saturday
  5. no. Only the FSSN
  6. love the fact they keep stats on pipes no pipes in that 2nd period
  7. as for the yellow seats from what I've heard most people dont like to sit that close so it looks like no one is there yep...get on your feet
  8. link is up
  9. If you are truly in SE Alaska try GCI cable channel 1...they show ads during the day but will have the games. 9:30 (well 6:30 Alaska time) is the UAA coach's show. Try then
  10. FSSN in Grand Forks and immediate areas? yes FSSN as in satellite or other areas? no
  11. sorry......misunderstood
  12. I thought all of Fargo was Cable One?
  13. I posted this in the game thread as to why its only showing in Grand Forks area Since Midco has nothing to do with CableOne in Fargo, it should be Fargo you should complain to. CableOne just picks up the FSSN signal like other companies do in the ND/SD/MN area
  14. from what I've heard they may not be able to due to the dish setup (satellite is pretty far west and at a pretty low elevation). I know my dish is about 4 inches above the ground when aimed there
  15. The station that shows the UAA games is like a public access type channel. Technically its "GCI Cable Channel 1" and they show ads during the day, jewelry late at night (late at night for say us...midnight) and various sporting events like UAA hockey games, Fairbanks games, the Great Alaska Shootout, indoor football (yes they have 2 teams in Alaska) and the state bb tournaments. They also show some public access type stuff too. Kinda a weird channel if you ask me Makes it fun (and weird) to flip between a hockey game from Alaska and a bb game from Hawai'i late at night
  16. or maybe Midco paid the rights to show it in Grand Forks area only Basically they paid some rights fee to GCI and are plucking it out of the sky. If they try and rebroadcast it on FSSN then there is some extra issues -they have to pay for the transponder space for G11 -they probably would have to pay more to GCI cable -they need to remodulate it and resend it out
  17. exactly!!
  18. Thats cool for the local folks couple fyi's about the broadcast -its not as good as the FSSN guys do -there is no clock in the corner...just the score -everyone is deaf in Anchorage as the horn there is REALLY LOUD!! -hopefully Midco turns the volume down for you folks because the audio is blaring...apparently the media students there think turning the master volume to 10 makes it sound really good
  19. huh? They dont own anything on G10. They're west of there
  20. responded
  21. yep they're on C-Band. Watched most games this year on there 9:30 coach's show 10:00 game time too bad the guys who do the games decide that cranking the audio up to 11 on the meter makes it sound better (you barely need to have the TV up because its so damn loud)
  22. I say split UND Friday "the lunchpail boys" (UAA) Saturday
  23. it was out there but at very low signal. Couldnt keep it stable. But also this year they are sent up differently. They are sent up as 4:2:2 (instead of the standard 4:2:0) so only a few ways to get 4:2:2 PC card or the Quali-TV (only receiver that does 4:2:2 but has a 700 buck price) FSN North decided instead of reserving transponder space via Minneapolis like they have done in the past they let FSN Headquarters in Houston reserve it for them. HQ likes to use 4:2:2 so very few games that folks can see without the 2 options above
  24. left channel only...right channel is the cue tones

    UMD Bulldogs

I saw the game via the Grand Valley station and both defenses just kicked ass. UMD ran the ball really good in the 1st half but didnt do squat the 2nd half GVSU didnt do much at all in the first half...their QB at one point was 2 for 11 2nd half the defenses took over....but at the end it you could see the refs might have wanted GVSU to score.....couple cheap penalties near the end. The GVSU kicker missed 3 FG's including one in OT But it was a great game...even better when UMD got the interception at the end It was great to hear "he passes....intercepted and that's the end of the Lakers season" from the GVSU announcers
