  1. digital starter is pretty much full analog cable + a couple extra channels (digital subchannels that OTA folks can get), the music channels, access to ppv and pro sports packages, etc you have to add the "Sports Entertainment Pack" which gives you (I'm using Mpls as the example...taken from Crapcast site) 102 ESPNews Sports 180 NFL Network Sports 722 ESPNews Sports 723 Fox College Sports Atlantic Sports 724 Fox College Sports Central Sports 725 Fox College Sports Pacific Sports 726 ESPN Classic Sports 727 The Red Zone Sports 731 Outdoor Channel Sports 732 Speed Channel Sports 733 MLB Network Sports 734 NBA TV Sports 735 CBS College Sports Sports 736 NFL Network Sports 737 The Tennis Channel Sports 738 Sportsman Channel Sports 739 NHL Network Sports 740 Fuel Sports 749 NBA TV Sports
  2. negative. The FSN's are pretty much set. FCS cherry picks from those. When they have an "exclusive" game it doesnt always go the other way possibly. If you can see out on the guide to Saturday (most HD & PVR units will see 9 days out) check the alt channels Saturday afternoon to see if its on there
  3. I agree if you have satellite, the FTA system is almost a necessity cable folks can get by with the digital package
  4. Dish doesnt have FCS. Its been posted already Dish does not have that one channel of FCS
  5. no. FCS will grab the FSSN signal just like ESPNU did for those couple years oodles of cfb games each week are on networks that are subscription for everyone (ESPN, FSN) yet the games are backhauled free to air unscrambled
  6. As of right now both the FB & hockey game are on FCS Atlantic per zap2it
  7. random games that arent already available via the multi-sports pack. (I'm talking Directv 617 right now) I do know that the FCS do have multiple live sports on at the same time. I've seen 3 college hockey games on at the same time on those FCS channels.
  8. correct. Direct 617 only shows live games according to what I've read
  9. yep
  10. why? people in the cities will still go to sensers and have a good time and drink so I dont think his business will hurt
  11. Fox College Sports is a CABLE offering. Its 3 channels (Atlantic, Pacific, Central) that is on the digital tiers It is a stripped down version of the multi sports pack that Directv & Dish can carry (that has the 20+ regional sports networks like NESN, YES, FSN RM, FSN Ohio, Altitiude, Prime, Sunshine etc). FCS does carry some exclusive games to FCS Directv does carry one channel of FCS on 617 but its for LIVE games only. So who knows if the Sioux would be shown or not.
  12. The FSSN is not on Directv or Dish If you add the multi-sports pack you can get the games against Wisconsin, Minnesota and Denver via the RSN's (Fox Sports Net)
  13. Thats good its on the FSSN TP but hopefully there is a backhaul too (with no commercials)
  14. they are but parts are still not Both have a "best of" where you can get items from the other side what sucks is XM can get the NFL games from Sirius but Sirius subs cant get the MLB games that XM has the college games there is no "set" games on both. They kinda pick what they want
  15. got my weekly Sirius update in the e-mail and the Sioux game will be on Siriuis 125 so if you are out and about you can listen to the game Go Sioux!
  16. I have a few dishes 2 motorized and a C-Band dish and a couple others set up
  17. UND press release http://www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.d...TCLID=204786868
  18. it depends on the season but last year and this year they are on the same satellite. no subscription is necessary. Its called free to air which means as long as the channel is sent up unencrypted, you can pick it up. FSSN is not a 24/7 channel. Its up 15 minutes before the game until about 5 minutes after the post game. The dish can be mounted on a roof, deck, pole mount, ghetto rig...you just need a good southern view. Where in the cities are you? (general area). I'm in the cities too. There are a few Sioux fans from Gooferville here
  19. probably near the end of the month FSN North will probably be almost all goofer games but FSN Rocky MOuntain and Wisco have to balance the hockey with other sports so they have to match up schedules
  20. according to the midco site its channel 23
  21. actually UMD is doing the games against the Sioux 2009-10 Bulldog Hockey on Charter Communications DATE OPPONENT TIME (CST) Dec. 4 North Dakota 7:00 p.m. Dec. 5 North Dakota 7:00 p.m. but I guess they (FSSN) would rather show Anchorage. And you are right. UAA does have all their home games on cable TV so the FSSN plucking the feed is rather easy (seen many UAA games on C-BAnd)
  22. If you're talking 24/7 channels, then yes they are mainly on C-Band but if you want sports, there is PLENTY of HD sports feeds on KU
  23. If all you want is the Sioux games I would say no If you want what is all up there on the different satellites, then I would say yes a HD box is a highly suggested item. Lots of HD sports up there
  24. unknown. The schedule isnt finalized. When they were DII there use to be usually 2 football games (plus home playoff games usually) and 2 or 3 basketball doubleheaders. But last year there was only one football game and no bb games. Hopefully that changes this year
  25. yes G11 and G17 is the same satellite slot. They just put a new satellite there as noted, it wont show up until the 1st game since its not a 24/7 channel
