Not knowing anything else, I would assume he is probably friends with Danny Kristo as the must have played together for years. This is really interesting to me, because I can't ever remember a college bringing in a large group of friends like we will be with Gleason, Fink, Kristo, and Mattson all from the SW / W burbs. Then you add the possibility of Budish, Leddy, Walters, or N. Mattson. Pretty cool... I'll make some updates on the wiki...

I'm not sure, but I would guess that they would love to have him in 09. I would just mention that the article actually listed places that he was still going to visit, not necessarily places he was choosing between. I am hopeful, because he seems to have incredible talent. I think he will put up huge numbers in the BCHL this season as he is not nearly as young as he was last year. Whose fault was that... Hak is the head coach and will continue to be. Many factors go into a championship that have nothing to do with the coach. When Blaise got his 1st, he was helped by the 2 better teams in the other semi beating each other up. Hak has not had any playoff (F4) luck, but has prepared teams as well as one could ever hope. This is Hak's team and not Dean's, this will never be Dean's team again.

Ironically I just watch the remake of the longest yard last night. Adam Sandlers character has a line where he state they would always a bad team like Appalachian State to start the season and build confidence. Too funny.

If Buning has an IQ greater than 65, he knows that if Hak goes, his career at UND and in DI is probably over. Hak will get a deal that is similar to all other top coaches. Maybe a tiny bit less because COL in ND is very low.

In fairness, a player like Duncan, who was undrafted, was hugely helped by going to a school where he gets exposure and gets to play with and against NHL prospects. 30 teams didn't think he was worth a late round pick and now 30 teams probably regret that.
