  3. yes they did very early, they are solid but will be without a hell of a player which can only help! we still will have our hands full like you say though
  4. that fan is a fkn idiot......was he/she referring to recruiting, if so i double my first take on the fan
  5. probably right, it has been a while!
  6. Yes we have a little under 2 weeks to go until the Wildcats play in Grand Forks but oh well. They will be without the #2 draft pick last year in JVR as hes playing for the world junior team so that only is a positive for the Sioux. The Sioux know exactly how that feels losing players to the WJT and will have a full squad over the new year for the first time in I have no idea but its been a good number of years. UNH is a solid hockey east team and pretty much tied with us for the 7th and 8th spots in the pairwise rankings so yes, these are very important games as they all are! This will be the weekend the Sioux start the run....Sioux sweep for the first time at home in a regular season series since last October! Last matchup vs UNH was October 21,22, 2005. Sioux won friday and tied Saturday in New Hampshire. Previously they had played Opening game in the Ice Breaker Tourney October 6th, 2000. It went down as a 2-2 tie in the record book but UNH won on the 13th try in a shootout to win. Overall Record: 8-6-1 (.567) WCHA: 6-6-0, 12 points Home: 4-3-0

  10. game is already over. it was a early game. parises goal was a shorty in a loss to phoenix
  11. DU and CC jump on top. great for the WCHA, now lets turn it on with these 2 teams and grab 3 of the 4 #1 seeds and hope michigan gets the 4th number 1 so they cant put us in the same regional with minny again bastards

  13. im gona guess frazee leaves after this year, it doesnt mean he is ready by any means. just a hunch. kangas could be the man for years to come. i never thought that of frazee from the first time i watched him but i think kangas will be solid. the gophers schedule is gong to be much harder in the 2nd half. the first 4-6 games for minny will be critical in their positioning for sure. i think they will be the 4th wcha team to make the tourney but dont see it right now with who they have played against so far and the results. phil does roam and that makes the whole arena nervous going back to last year vs michigan in the regional
  14. lets hope we avoid red azzzz and BC...lets get some new blood in there to play.....

  16. oh exactly, i wouldnt use the word worse though, i would use that if we were 5 games under .500 things will only get better starting with UNH
  17. and that may not work either coach im sure he will switch some things like they said they may do. thats what all teams do when they arent winning like they want to.
  18. i wasnt counting post season obviously and that was my point. i should have clarified that. regular season home sweep, wcha or not

  20. I know it is early to really get into the pairwise BUT we have a couple weeks til we see the Sioux host UNH so i wanted to take a look at the pairwise rankings from SS. always interesting Pairwise Rankings The Sioux sit at #8 as of today but that may change a little with other teams playing this coming weekend and week The WCHA would have 3 teams in for sure with Minnesota on that BUBBLE if the season ended today and i would say wouldnt get in. Where the Sioux stand in these rankings with the record the Sioux have really tell you TO PLAY big time teams in your non conference schedule. Also they have gotten lucky as their WCHA schedule was the toughest to start as well. Sioux oppenents they have played in the TOP 16 to this date in and out of conference and where they stand #1 - DENVER - split on the road #3 - COLORADO COLLEGE - split at home #6 - MICHIGAN STATE - won 6-0 in one game #9 - NORTHEASTERN - won only game on the road - will end up being a very nice win at the end of the year with how they are playing #11 - BOSTON COLLEGE - tied 0-0 in FOGOUT on the road #14 - MINNESOTA - split at home #15 - MINNESOTA DULUTH - split at home UNH is #7 in the pairwise as we play them in our next series. If we can find a way to sweep a very solid hockey east team without one of their top players in JVR (world juniors team) that could be huge to start the 2nd half. really huge! hell we havent swept a team at the ralph since LAST OCTOBER so this would be a hell of a time to break that! UNH plays Maine on december 16th and thats their only game before they head to grand forks at the end of december if it ended today so CC would get a 1 seed in the springs, good path for them to get down the road to Denver hell, we may face BC first round out east maybe, im not concerned playing them pre-frozen 4 i think we will end up with 4 in the dance, just not sure who the 4th will be. i say scsu sneaks in and gets another first round exit, if its only cc, du and the sioux then the ncaa better spread them out. a lot of hockey to be played and i know that, just fun to see where teams stand in the all important PWR
  21. uh, yeah....just like the last 3 seasons as well up til christmas and yes phil is damn good, im sure a bunch of gopher faithful who wouldnt admit it would take the flopping frenchman (gopher fan term) over long island frazee, for sure! i think the loss the stoa will hurt umtc overall and they wont turn it on and make a big time run, i dont see it happening with the young d core and frazee or kangas. not through green goggles, just as a regular fan. its not gona happen. the gophers schedule was very favorable even without stoa and others but they couldnt do much. carman is gona be back after the break due to being ineligable so that may help a bit. the sioux didnt play great vs the gophers but you can look at the series vs sconnie where the sioux handeled them that friday and couldnt score and then get the split saturday. thats the wcha sometimes..great league with crazy outcomes weekly. cant wait for UNH who will be without JVR wich is nice and we will have a full squad for the first time in 5-6 years and probably the only for the next 4 years. had a blast being back for the series, cant beat the sioux/gopher rivalry on and off the ice!!
