the cool thing about a goalie and the hobey is that the team success goes hand in hand with a goalie hobey possibility. if you are a forward you can still make the hobey hattrick if your team is soso and barley makes the ncaa tourney. its so hard for a goalie to win the hobey but if the team keeps winning then phil climbs higher and higher on the list. i love that combonation as it really acts as a overall team award..... keep it rolling sioux!

i love this time of year for sioux hockey. wcha race, pairwise implications and great playoff atmosphere hockey every weekend. cant beat it. also high school state tourneys gone get going...sweet

bsu isnt a pushover. they play the sioux tough all the time. you go into these games with the same mentality and drop 4-6 per game on them and get the 2 wins. i start phil bith games and if we get up then throw walski in for a priod or 2. dont let up 1 bit. 2 more non conference games we need to win and then its time for the real stretch run in duluth and vs scsu. we will win the 6 remaining games just like i said we would win 7 in a row going into minny. this team has one goal and thats hoisting the trophy in denver.

exactly, the trotter situation doesnt compare to okposos. trotter was going to be suspended. okposo just jumped ship. way different. dont know on reaney. im sure a rule will be put in to play out your year once you have commited to come back in the fall. thats about all they can do. drafted or undrafted. this would obviously only apply to the pros. echl/ahl/nhl

this will be addressed in the off season. you cant make it so a kid has to stay 1 or 2 years minimum because of how the nhl draft works with how young they are but there hopefully will be a rule for any players. drafted or undrafted that you have to complete the season with your college team then move on. im sure there will be a loophole if you get suspended like trotter but who knows.

just saw the replay of the game on fox rocky montain. gwoz didnt say it was gona be a blood bath. he simply stated if thats how the rest of the game is gona be played then so be it and he wasnt happy that any of his players didnt help out a guy or 2 in the scuffle. i like that a lot coming from a coach gwoz, a lot. he didnt go on camera after a very emotional situation and say there is no room for this in college hockey blah blah blah. he called it for what it was and moved on. very nice

get him a few early goals and he will be fine. if he gives up a few early ones he will be back to the bench. risky all around. i know he has worked his tail off but bsu always plays us tough so just dont want to say what if in the end. especially after gaining the 2nd spot in the pairwise now every game is so crutial. either way hak knows what hes doing and in hak we trust if he plays or not

nice, 7 wcha teams not going to happen in the end but i do think 5 for sure, 6 maybe if a team gets lucky and makes a final 5 run. the teams on the bubble may knock eachother out in the playoffs and then their season will be over with no final 5 to gain in the pairwise. nice job, its way tough trying to do this with 7 teams from 1 conference

i dont know if the streak is a big deal record wise. i think hes started every game because he gives us the best possible chance to win every night without a proven back up and he has proven that with his hobey baker type season so far.if he does play i say walski friday and phil comes back saturday to tune up for the stretch run!! go sioux, spank the beavers if not i would love to see phil start both nigths and get 2 more wins!!
