i believe he will do fine as well. would love for him to get a start but if he doesnt then i understand 110%. either way lets keep rolling into the post season

of course a 4 goal game doesnt help but when you come back with another 1 goal game vs a top 6 team that will cancel out that friday game for sure. the bottom line is the win friday i believe. if the sioux dont come back then phils stock drops without a doubt. like i have said before i believe a goalie being in the hobey discussion is a direct reflection of their team overall so its pretty cool and a great compliment to the sioux as a whole.

exactly and for those thinking phil will start both games because of the streak? sorry but phil hasnt started all 50 plus games in a row to make a starting streak and to break any records. hes starting because he is all we have for a proven goalie that gives us the best possible chance to win every single game and hes proven that without a doubt. lets remember bsu blew a big lead vs cc this year in the springs so they arent a tam to be taken lightly at all. the streak is secondary to anything else. is walski starts then score him some early goals but if he doesnt start then so be it. these games are just as important as any other with pairwise implications.

not suprising. he got big minutes with anaheim rigth away and it seems like the same ol story for brandon. good enough to be in the nhl but he must not have it or give enough to stick in a lineup. has he exhausted his ahl time already or is he just a 13th forward that will play when injury happens. someone will pick him up.

of course he would like any other sioux player but hes got the numbers and the team is playing great in front of him so its time for him to get his props

theres really nothing that can be done. it sucks but there hasnt been that many that have just bolted to the pros like okposo. a hamdful over the years and the trotter situation has nothing to do with this issue. way different. i dotn think anything can be done and will be done.

porter is damn good and deserves it as of now. phil also deserves to be in the top 3 as of now with porter and gerbe or jones in my mind. thats a hell of a acomplishment even to get to the hobey hattrick so if he and team keeps winning he will be there!

there isnt a question tj is the best player in the country but its a stats award for forwards and tj doesnt have those right now. i agree 110% on tj but unless he goes on a serious 5-6 point per weekend tear it wont happen. phil is a serious contender right now to crack the top 3. like i said earlier. i love when goalies do get in that talk as it almost becomes a TEAM hobey because the goalie can save a team but the team can also help the goalie a lot as well.

i agree. the way the nhl draft system works and how you are owned by teams will prevent a rule. its so different than other pro sports. the only thing they can do is put a rule in that you cant sign pro but you can go play juniors. still a long shot but just a idea. the nba and nfl is so different because you dont get drafted til you decide to leave school so a different system. baseball as well as if you dont go pro out of high school then you can re enter the draft and leave after 3 years of college. like you said the draft picks taken away may be the only option and if so make it a high draft pick/s. fines wont stop a nhl club but even if it does happen there has to be opt out rules like in the trotter situation where he was going to be suspended so moved on to the pros. very sticky situation in a whole and i dont see a whole lot being done about it.

i think its reading too much into a non situation. duncan is doing just fine, hes our top scoring player on the team and this line with he, osh and kozek are great together. oshie and kozek play a pretty crazy game out there the way they hit and finish every check and thats not duncans game and has never been his game so it may look that way when comparing his style to the bash brothers out there
