  1. hell, he has racked up 1 more point than 5 other defensemen for the season and he hasnt played except the first 2 games he may have a better chance assiting from the press box than the D guys on the ice
  2. i think a large % of BCHL players who come to the WCHA do not come close to what people think they should do numbers wise. the BCHL is a scoring league. the USHL seems to be a different style. even kyle turris came from the bchl at sconnie and didnt do much, yes i know uw isnt a scoring powerhouse but still. he was the 3rd pick overall. the players that come from the bchl do not seem to translate points wise. i know they arent expected to come in and put up 50-70 points. i get that but it seems to be a trend overall. oh well. i see we dont have a single bchl player coming in anytime soon so maybe that has been a concern. who the hell knows. go sioux woop some BIG RED
  3. snip snip no, i agree but they can score goals which will keep them competitve throughout the season. they will finish low with tech. tech has had many injuries i believe which has hampered them.
  4. and CC this years wcha race is going to be log jammed for a while except michigan tech. they will swim alone at the bottom
  5. im all for mario to play, hell the sioux are 3-1-1 i think when he plays. not saying hes the reason for the 3 wins but he plays hard and has shown he can play at this level.
  6. pretty much every nhl and ahl and minor and college and hockey team has a group that play soccer before games. it simply is a great way to loosen up before a game kicking aroud the ball. it has nothing to do with their play just some insight for you that most if not all teams do this
  7. so you are obviously saying that hak must run a complete different program that any coach in the nation ? we have only played 12 games this year so far and i hope to god the guys arent fatigued already. that would be a very very bad sign if so. i dont think that but am just saying. isnt the break from late april to september long enough to get ready for a college hockey season or am i missing your point here and if i am than my bad? they simply arent good right now and have a great opportunity to get 2 big wins vs the #2 team in the pairwise rankings so lets hope they start turning the corner friday night!!
  8. then explain why other teams start good ? i respect your opinion and im not saying that being a jerk but i dont agreebut i hear ya. the sioux havent played poorly 4 years in a row up until x-mas break. slower starts? sure they were but they also werent poor by any means. this stretch they are on now is poor. i think things will turn around and have confidence in hak and the staff but its hard to see any positives the last 2 weekends. who the hell knows why they seem to turn it around after x-mas break under hak. its very odd to see but he can coach and i think this years team will show that in the end. we have a long season ahead which is great and lets just hope they can find some chemistry in practice this week that leads to the games vs BIG RED as to your question does hak push a magic button? lets hope he still has it i the office if so lets hope they can jump above .500 by a few games x-mas break this season 1st four seasons under hak 2004-05..........13-8-2 at x-mas break...25-15-5 final record 2005-06..........12-7-1 at x-mas break...29-16-1 final record 2006-07..........7-10-1 at x-mas break...24-14-5 final record 2007-08...........8-6-1 at x-mas break...28-11-4 final record oh well, it makes for great message board spit and at the end of the day......... long live fighting sioux hockey
  9. just tell him when you see him on campus it didnt matter what the sioux did in the frozen 4 last year, it was gona be ugly no matter what im still pissed that the damn waiter in brooklyns spilled 3 beers and 4 waters and fried my damn pda
  10. they are bad and not the last 2 weekends have proven that easily. that doesnt mean things cant change though. i think the young players are very capable of scoring but the veterens need to step up now. i havent given up on this team at all and nobody else should but we have to call it how it is right now and thats very easy to spot. the PP is so bad right now. the defense has 1 goal total on the year and it came from a foward playing defense last weekend (not that we have any forwards tearing it up either). i know things will turn around but lets not make it so damn late this year because the sioux are already 3 games under .500 with a tough series coming up at the ralph. i dont give a crap what our record is in the past vs ECAC teams like goon pointed out. it doesnt mean jack crap. just win friday and the go from there!! go sioux woop some ass and i sure in hell will be there to compliment hak and company when things get turned around as there shouldnt be any problem when fans want to speak their minds when things arent going well. call a spade a spade and thats fine as long as it goes both ways long live the fighting sioux and LETS SCORE SOME GOALS vs a stingy D thats given up 4 goals in 6 games
  11. good points but i will add that the defense has to step up offesively as well to help out. we have 1 GOAL from our defense on the season and thats from brad miller who netted that last night while playing defense. go sioux
  12. fatigued?? really aussie? come on man. these guys come into september camp in shape these days and if you dont then you wont be playing college hockey at this level. thats one of the worse excuses iver ever heard for a bad team at this point of the season. sorry. not buying it and never ever will. go sioux joe finley is missed badly overall. he isnt the reason the sioux ae 3 games under .500 but he is a huge part of this team. with or without joe on the team they still arent scoring and have been brutal on the PP. hope they turn it around vs cornell
  13. this team is BAD right now. there is no sugar coating it at all. sorry there isnt. it doesnt mean they cant turn it around because they have talent but they cant score to save their lives and if you dont score you cant win. hockey 101
  14. yup, all of them without a doubt and i would like to see fienhage in over some at D as well. nothing to lose as its not like there is one line thats clicking so much that you cant break them up
  15. Who knows what this weekend will bring for the Sioux. The Sioux come back from Duluth with a Friday tie and Saturday loss adding just 1 point to their WCHA standings. Cornell visits The Ralph after beating Harvard Friday night and Dartmouth Saturday night. Can the Sioux find a way to score goals? Lets hope so and lets hope hak can find some lines that will click.................GO SIOUX Overall Record: 4-7-1 (.375) WCHA: 4-5-1, 9 points Home: 2-2-0
  16. who cares if some posters didnt like his game at some point of his career. thats their opinion. i also know there werent that many that were down on joe at some point like other players as well and big deal if they were or still are. joe has been a great part of this team for 4 years now and the sioux really really need him back. leadership wise, locker room wise and game wise he is so important. its not just the defense at all. hak has some serious coaching to do because the combos hes using arent working for jack crap right now. this team has talent, no doubt but it will have to be a combo of hak and the coaches and the players to figure out how to create more offense overall and get some damn help from the blueline who has been god awful in the offense zone as the team. im glad its early as we have seen this movie play out before but the difference is there isnt a toews to come back from a wjt to light it up, no oshie but there is a damn good core that somehow needs to figure this out. eidsness has been fine in net but he isnt getting any help. long live the fighting sioux and get this right vs cornell
  17. this team is NOT good right now will it turn around? who the hell knows but i hope they figure it out soon
  18. its been edited in my post. hes playing

  20. i agree and he has been getting PP time as well that one PP last night was so brutal as they passed the puck for 1:30 before shooting, just fire the damn thing and good things can happen. shoot shoot shoot
  21. potential former sioux tonight http://www.nhl.com/scores/index.html?navid=NAV|SCR|Main drew stafford - buffalo vs ny islanders jonathan toews - chicago vs jason blake - toronto david hale - phoenix vs philadelphia ryan johnson - vancouver vs pittsburgh matt greene - LA vs colorado
  22. yeah im sure redfrog would love to have 2 games going at once just pretend you are playing and pick a player tonight and see if you move on
  23. easy does it gregoire, hextall, hextall, duncan, frattin, toews, kozek and.........................................JONES
  24. sioux stats just looking at the numbers a few guys seem to be on the ice way too often when oppsoing teams are scoring even strength or shorthanded. thats gona happen when you have only scored 27 goals compared to the oppenents 37 total through the year but still looking at the defensemen. you have genoway, blood and jones solid in the +/- area, miller as well but not sure as hes only played 4 games at D overall. would love to fienhage in tonight with blood and sit marto or lapoint for 1 game just to see how that plays out. lets go sioux, get that win
  25. SIOUX YAH YAH...............
