i wouldnt call 1 goal and 1 assit in the sioux last 4 games heating up by any means but i hear ya as hes playing good hockey. the 3 goals and 1 assist vs bemidji that weekend was great though. this team wont have any departures and it could be like thepost above where they bring in 1 less forward to have 2 healthy scratches on forward and 1 on D every night. go sioux -
everyone knows that its great to have toews and oshies and parises and its great they came to und. they havent had that level of a player since that class of 12 players. right now forbort and nick mattson are very highly ranked for 2010. the frozen 4 runs were amazing and fun and with no banner as well. that has nothing to do with talent as it was there so maybe this year they can shock many and get there again. you are right, the top tier top 25 draft pick players havent landed at und this last 3 years. im sure that wont last long though. just may be a spell right now but they still have played some slid hockey losing many of those top players. go sioux this weekend!!

great for marto! he stepped up nicely this last weekend and has the last month!! per brad Marto is defensive player of week UND has another player of the week in the WCHA. Sophomore Jake Marto is the defensive player of the week in the league. It is the first such honor in Marto's career and it is the first time the Sioux have had a defensive player of the week this season. In the last 12 games, Marto has four goals and four assists for eight points, while carrying the team's best plus-minus at +11. UND has had seven players of the week in the last two months. The Sioux had one in the first two months of the season. my thoughts exactly being from there and also my thoughts on recruiting
-
those day are long gone. back in the day maybe but not even close these days as you eluded to. now there will be a few that do but a few that go to und or cc ect..
-
i love his blog. he does a good job and actualy makes a blog for once original and funny. its hilarious to read weekly actually. like dirtys
-
dont think he meant the parise or johnsons. i think he meant it would be another option to play right away at a school in the wcha as some kids will choose to do. not elite players but the guys underneath that area. bemidji could probably give the gophers a hell of a tough series if you guys would actually sacked up play them
-
bemidji wont challenge any of the top wcha teams in recruiting, at least for a long time if that. they recruit canada and all over like other teams so they will continue that terend but may be able to land higher end players from those areas being in the wcha. the fan base in bemidji is most beavers/gophersand then the rest beavers/sioux but there loyalty is with bsu. now when you arent playing that team they may still cheer for their 2nd team. don should keep branching out then as he has a little as a good handful of those top minby kids havent lived up to their big hype yet ala - white ect... the 2 ncaa titles came with non minnesotans playing huge roles on those teams
