good quotes lets talk tough in the newpaper and announce how we are gona try to play - lets punish these guys like we did to the gophers http://www.denverpost.com/colleges/ci_11532203 "We've talked about it, that we're going to take the physical play to them right away, to let them know we're not intimidated," DU junior defenseman Cody Brookwell said. "There is a time and place (to fight), and there are guys on this team willing to go with a guy. That's part of the game, and sometimes it needs to be dealt with." "We all saw their Minnesota games a couple weeks ago, and all the stuff that went on," Testwuide said. "They try to intimidate teams that come in there, but the bottom line is it's still hockey, and you have to put the puck in the net to win. That's what we're focusing on." puting the puck in the net is the concept?? really? not only did we toss the gophers around the rink we dropped 12 on them as well........... testwuide is just still bitter after getting his azz whooped last year by radke. i like the first quote but its funny thats what they are worried about

That's part of the game, and sometimes it needs to be dealt with." i dont mind this at all. at least they are showing they have a spine in the papaers. now the ice? we will see. go sioux . kick the crap out of these guys

yeah, just takes tons of time. thankfully jim has a nice system going on to help us all out
-
i went with jeff panzer. throw him in with gregoire and duncan and create a big time scoring line i thought maybe roche as well because of his offensive abilities but panzer was the choice

Just for fun i'll list 10 former players from around the 2000 era to nowthat you could add to this years team. The point is to add a player and his style that we could use more than others and why they would help this current sioux team and maybe who you would pair him up with on this years roster? please choose and explain why as well.......... i know the oshie, parise, toews ect.....would be the answers so i went with others than that obvious answers or if you have a write in list him and explain why.............. side note - i love the make up of this current team and this is simply for fun to see fans opinions and thoughts on different styles GO SIOUX

echl teams have different goalies probably every season with how players go and come into that league. i always thought jpl would be a career ahl or overseas goalie and do very well.

not sure on specific players but maybe nolan zajac? the only d man of the zajacs from brad Tom Miller did a preview on the midget tournament that's coming to town. You'll see some familiar names: Dixon Ward, Craig Ludwig and Doug Smail. All three of those former Sioux greats are coaches of midget teams in town. If you want a schedule of the games, check it out here. http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/?id=102960

per brad Weekly Wednesday update At today's weekly meeting with the local media, assistant coach Cary Eades said that Andrew Kozek has not been ruled out for this weekend yet. Kozek was back on the ice today and he will be evaluated right up until game time. If he can't go Friday, there still may be a chance for Saturday. Kozek injured his leg just before the team departed for Houghton last week. He did not travel. "We do miss his scoring ability in the lineup," Eades said. Denver coach George Gwozdecky said his team is healthy with the exception of Tyler Bozak, who will miss the rest of the regular season with a knee injury. Also at today's press conferences was Winnipeg Free Press writer Tim Campbell. He'll also be coming down for Friday's game. Campbell, who typically covers the Manitoba Moose, will be doing a story on the continued tradition of Manitoba sending some of its best player to UND. Later on, I will try to have more on the midget tournament that is going on in Ralph Engelstad Arena this weekend. One matchup off hand that is intriguing -- Nolan Zajac and the Winnipeg Thrashers vs. Shattuck at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Doug Smail's Colorado Outlaws team also will play Shattuck at 11:30 a.m. Saturday
