Miami will be in town as well playing Bemidji State and then North Dakota for a big time game on the national stage Saturday. Get back on the winning track! First, it's for the women's basketball team. Then, it gets into this weekend's hockey series against UND. Rhett Rakhshani tells Denver fans to come out to watch some great hockey, great skill and competitiveness... "and maybe if you're lucky, our coach will walk across the ice to the penalty box." As for the press conference, Gwozdecky said that Denver goalie Marc Cheverie has been doing light skating and his availability for this weekend is still up in the air. He said that it will be up to the medical personnel. He also said that defenseman Patrick Wiercioch's status in up in the air. Wiercioch was hurt during Denver's last game two weeks ago. Freshman defenseman Matt Donovan should be good to go, Gwozdecky said. UND has its press conference tomorrow afternoon.

Coming off a split at home vs SCSU the Sioux travel to Denver for a battle. Denver had a week coming into this series. 4 huge points at stake. Hope the Sioux can figure out a way to play without Genoway as he makes so many things on the ice look effortless. I believe their top goalie Cheverie will still be out so that's a big loss for them if so. Maybe gwoz can make it a hattrick for dasher dancing vs ths Sioux in his career and make himself look like a goof ball again......
