Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Matt Stockert from Jamestown win the first Mr. Hockey award in like 1992 or something like that. It was the same year that Darin Erstad was a senior I belive. If I remember correct Jamestown was in the west at that time.

The question should be asked, If Dean Blais accepted a postion with Columbus wouldn't USA Hockey have to find a new World Jr coach. Why would Dean want to miss a large tournament like this knowing that he still has a chance to coach in the NHL later?

Prpich would be well suited to have an A on his jersey. Sometimes it takes something like that to get a player to realize that he needs to step up and take responsibility. Mike deserves the position and I think it would be a good move cause I think that the players on the team respect his work ethic. I just think it would be a good move to motivate him to watch the stupid penalities.

The goal Vanek scored was a gift from Greene. But there was some pretty bad defense the whole game by the sioux. The goal that got called off was a bad defensive play by someone on the backcheck not taking the man. But there were times when the Sioux just took it too them but as a third period team this year, they did not play that way. Briggs did not deserve to be MVP of the tourney considering he gave up 9 goals in 2 games and got some good bounces in front of him.

That's close enough....I don't know...from where my seats are he looks just completely like a sasquatch. but scottsquatch wouldn't be bad. He just looks completely out of place on the ice. But the scottsquatch isn't a bad idea MNS.

I just thought that I would throw in an idea for a sign. Someone should make a sign about Sasquatch in relation to Scott. Maybe have something saying If you have seen Sasquatch Please call 1-888-MTU-1885. Cause from the upper level he looks like Sasquatch.

Tim Hennessey said tonight during the pregame that Jake did not play well during practice on wednesday and thursday and that was why he did not start. After it was all said and done I think that Jordan may have salvaged a tie in the game on saturday. He played outstanding.

The rather large open ice hit on Grant by Matt Smaby was the reason he is out. That was a huge hit. Grant pretty much got planted.

Forecheck, Unless some unfortunate act of God I will not be attending this year. I will probably be in Florida. But we will see. If I can make it by chance.

I was there last year. However I will be in Florida on a trip so I won't be able to make it this year. It was fun last year, even though we were running a pretty short bench. It was probably one of the better games I played and it was fun meeting everyone. The contact wasn't too bad, it was about what I was used to so I didn't worry about it a whole lot. I usually don't chime in with much but if anyone can play it's worth the trip down to play in it.

I'm with the Save that one for the Grandkids story. That sounds like one hell of an experience. At least you ran into some nice people.

YaneA, I would have to vote for the Caddyshack reference. That is a classic and everyone that has seen the movie will understand it. On top of that I get this feeling that the Ralph will be playing some of caddyshack during the game at some point. Also, was it me or was the family guy clip of Stewie just hillarious after the goal during the 2nd Yale game.

Lee Goren had a power play assist in the game tonight. It's nice to see him getting the chance to play some. But anyhow, Way to go Lee.

Maybe it's just me. But I'm still waiting for that Herald article on how UND finally has some sort of goalie coach. I know they had the volunteer last year but it would be nice if Dean could somehow convince a certain goalie in the Maple Leafs organization to be a goalie coach when he is done playing. Just a random thought. A second thought I had is that I don't want to see Josh go. I think if he keeps working on his technique he could still be a good goalie. But I wouldn't blame the guy for wanting to leave with the goalie situation in the next couple of years.

This sucks. The game should be shown on the Fighting Sioux Network. If they are going to show it in Grand Forks they should show it everywhere. I'm a little pissed, but if anyone can tape the Sioux victory I would be very thankful to be able to watch the first hour of the Ferris State thrashing.

Zach should leave after he finds out the situation with the NHL Collective bargining agreement cause if he leaves and they go on strike then he is screwed out of playing hockey which is bad for his development.

Stuck in Fargo, Are you still planning on going to the game. Cause my friend just had some family issues come up and he will not be able to play goalie on sunday.

I don't think there ever was a doubt. That house was rockin. I talked to a few people after the game and they were in heaven also. Now it's time to focus on the next four games the next weekend starting with Thursday then ending sunday.

I thought that forecheck was going to be coaching.......Given her vast hockey knowledge.

Sorry Forecheck....Our damn server was down and I can't get on my email. But my friend said he would be able to play goalie for the Sioux team. So we should be good to go on the goalie front

I'll find out for sure tomorrow on the goalie. I have to give him a call. I'll make sure to have him whipped into shape for this great outing. Also, my other friend that is playing said he's all ready to beat some gophers into the ground.

I know a goalie that said he might be up for it. But I would need a time for the game.
