Refs were awful all game. One of the worst officiated games both ways I have seen. I legit don't think they know what an interference call is.

I missed the first period, but Wes Walz was saying there were multiple calls against Dallas that were missed.

I'm a Wild fan so I don't really want to admit it, but the interference against Dallas in the second was a terrible call. Was probably just makeup for the first terrible call against Foligno.

Anyone else here watching on the Bally Sports online app? SOB's cut out with about three minutes left to jump over to the Timberwolves game. WTF? It's an online app. I selected the hockey game. People that want to watch bouncy ball can pick that. What a F-ing joke that app is. Not too hard to figure out why they're filing for bankruptcy.

It has come to my attention recently that there may be UND fans that are "football only" or "basketball only" as well.

But they too are rare.

The funny part is that UND-FB-FAN (I apologize if it wasn't actually U-F-B, but it was one of the people here that has the same list of comments they copy/paste to the boards) has actually proclaimed "FOOTBALL ONLY" on these boards. By my count it's;

Hockey only fans= 0

Football only fans= 1 (probably more like two or three judging by comments here)

Hockey-only fans are literally the red-headed country bumpkin stepchildren of sports fans. I’m not that. I fall in line with the mainstream.

It's been my experience that "hockey-only fans" are more like unicorns or pink elephants.

Oh, and there are a lot of strawmen name "hockey-only."

I don't recall what the specific thing was that ticked off the UND fanbase about him in 2016. I know he was playing games saying that Anas wasn't gonna play all week (somewhat expected with an injured star player the week of the big game), and then put him out anyway to get injured multiple times during the title game. ;) :D

But yes, regarding your comment about TH. TH said Pecknold is the only opposing coach he's ever dealt with that refused to do an interview with him.

Yes, the Anas shoulder that was all important to the ESPN crew. Q had Anas, we had half an NHL team. The game against Denver was the true championship game that season.

Who was it that blatantly crosschecked the Anas... in the wrong shoulder... after the whistle... I cringed at the time. It's lol now

Well, if the relationship between Pecknold and UND is that bad, why did he and Berry schedule their two series against one another this year and last? Seemingly things aren’t that toxic between the two programs.

No one said UND hated Pecknold. Many of us fans have some vestige memory of hating the guy. Seems like no one can remember a good reason for it, so it was likely just momentary rivalry stuff from '16.

From what I’m reading, there’s nothing that would make me root against Pecknold. Hope he gets it done this time.

All in. If no one can even remember why we don't like Peknold... well... we can all remember several reasons why we hate the golden rodents. I'm 100% pulling for Q to have a better result at Amalie Arena this time around.

What’s our beef with Pecknold? I must have missed that day.

You know, I remember that he did something back in '16 that got UND fans upset and we've hated him since. I'll be damned if I can remember what it was, exactly. He just got the rep around here of being an arrogant a-hole. Since no one now can remember what it was... it was probably just partisan BS. I'm thinking, didn't he refuse to do an interview with TH, that pissed off a lot of us?

I hear you but there is a little thing called Zoom.
Would a campus visit be great, yes of course, but sometimes that can't always happen.

sounds weird, but young adults seem to be open to this. In the last few years, I've hired people in their twenty's that didn't set foot in the office until their first day of work.

Oh yeah, as soon as we have players, a roster, and jersey assignments, and we can memorize all of it, we're going right back to saying things like " ... rather kept 20 than 13." So there. Nanner-nanner-foo-foo!

< taps toe of shoe on lawn >
< walks away >

Hey, we can joke and have fun. Thing is, for a lot of us, the number thing really sucks. We get it, you're a superfan, you know everything. For most of us, trying to read a post littered with numbers is annoying as !@#$. Whatever. Do as you will.

Team can't catch a break this offseason.
Gonna be a whole different team next year.
I still think the offensive group will be elite.
Just gonna be a whole new group of player numbers to remember...like half the team.

Nice! These boards might be easy to follow for a while before the super-experts memorize the new roster and revert back to entire sentences comprised of nothing but numbers.

Now, get off my lawn.

Ah, I see. You're saying that they "pad" heights and weights, like a HS basketball roster. (My son somehow grew two inches the day they measured, or "measured," for the roster.)

I'm still really excited for Livanavage though. Guys like Lane Huston (listed at 5'9", 155 lbs) have shown that smaller players can excel in college hockey. (Not saying Livanavage=Hutson, but a boy can dream, right?)

When I was in JV basketball our coach did the opposite. The varsity squad had 3 starters and a few bench guys that were over 6'-0", but the roster had them all listed at 5'-11". Coach wanted the opposition to underestimate what they were up against.

He's not the Nick Saban of college hockey. Be better. He could have said "Jake was right Friday and we had less passangers tonight". Jake hopefully gets an apology. This is still basically a .500 team and a loss and done situation.

"...at the end of the day we gotta make Jake Brandt talk more about us."

That warrants an apology?

You want to drag out that false choice/red herring again? And anyone who said that was probably frustrated by our annual Frozen Four semifinal meltdowns. I honestly don't think they truly wanted anything like that.

you are liked a child. You've been around here long enough that I know you aren't a child. Get some perspective.

To be fair, earlier in the season, he was being criticized on here for continually changing the lines each week...everyone said he needed to keep them together to build chemistry.

Don't bother. Oxbow doesn't make good faith arguments.

I’m hearing the coaches have already written 6 off. They’re not even communicating with him anymore. We could see a conga line of players in the transfer portal in Apr. 6/18/29/32 maybe others. This coaching staff has failed in their development in favor of 5 yr transfer guys. NHL teams have to be cringing if they hear one of their prospects is going to UND.

LOL. Yeah, I'm sure the Senators are cringing the hardest having the 6th and 7th leading scorers on the team coming from UND in the past two seasons. I'm sure they've put the word out to stay away from UND!!11!!!!111
