The good thing about college basketball in todays time is that it doesn’t necessarily take 3 or 4 years to rebuild. Look at what Tim Miles is doing at San Jose State in year 2, they have never been good (like seriously bad), and lack facilities. Obviously coaching in Grand Forks, North Dakota is a different animal, but starting from scratch isn’t as big of a problem as it used to be.

Too bad students won’t be back yet, the football team would be all over him.

He hasn’t been terrible at recruiting talent, he did have the freshman player of the year the past two seasons. He hasn’t been able to retain talent, and continue to build, which falls fully on him.

Tough situation because they ran it before those last two plays and lost a yard. I agree though, they should have tried going back to it because they had the timeouts. They had some success running with Stroud so it would have made sense to go with that.

Nelson didn’t even play half the game. This was brutal and think Sather will be gone. Lineup combinations make no sense and at this point the rotation shouldn’t be at 11 guys.

Yep, and nothing to cheer about. Attendance will be brutal rest of the year. Why would I want to go and watch this team again in person?

Bubba has done a decent job with the portal but my biggest problem is what you stated above. There have been many that are talented enough to make a big impact right away but they seem to ease them in as the year goes on. Our scheme cannot be too complicated for this to keep happening.

I’m guessing they will be, the Lions were favored at home as well.

Get a Dlineman or two and possibly a safety. I really like where our offense is at currently.

Sucks that hockey was at the Garden, the 9800 there were loud, plus a full student section if I remember correctly.

Considering it was a big part of the first D1 home playoff game meltdown, I think you can make the argument they are pretty close.

Nope. This coaching staff can be fairly and rightly criticized for a lot of things but I feel like there are some on here that are trying to reach and criticize for things that simply aren’t accurate or we have no way in knowing whether it’s accurate.

Maybe, this defense was all time bad though, and Weber did whatever they wanted to and were the better team in IMO. I understand what you’re getting at though, our staff sucks on the road and in big games.

Yikes that’s a bad take. Yes, both of those staffs are better, but no one is making the semis with the personnel we had on defense this year.

So you believe that if Entz or Steiglemeir was coaching the UND team in the spring COVID season they would have been in Frisco?
