  2. Since he was referring to Cloud poaching a recruit it wouldn't be Motzko doing it these days. Any chance Motzko had to poach from us went up in smoke the moment that panorama of empty Mariucci hit the internet.
  3. ....Do you mean Larson?
  4. Thought I saw a pic of Frisch signing his letter of intent.
  5. Feel free to poach Costello. He's not making it to campus.
  6. That Finkelstein kid is once again in the news for the wrong reason. Hard to sympathize with some prep school brat though.
  7. Touché. But Miami does pride itself on being the "cradle of coaches" or something like that. Then again a single tournament appearance that's still up in the air isn't exactly a star resume.
  8. Gotta think it's Bergeron's choice first as an alum.
  9. Envious of anyone in Denver! Hope to hear a lot of let's go Sioux chants on this weekend's broadcasts.
  10. Hopefully part of the agreement to let UND skate at air force's rink was a series at cadet ice arena down the road. I'd attend in a heart beat.
  11. Wolanin named 2nd star after potting this feed:
  12. They stated when DU and UND came to town they would play at World Arena.
  13. Dell needs more off ice exposure like this!
  14. If the inspiration for the article was the empty 3M arena photo, kudos to them for getting it turned around so fast. It was also nice to have an outside perspective that wasn't either full of schadenfruede or homer-defending.

  16. I watched it. As regulation ended, Larson had the refs look at a hit and they retroactively assessed a 5 for contact to the head. It was the right call, and the end of regulation was the next whistle so it was legit to review. Then on the PP a Cloud player shifted his foot to cradle a pass, but it deflected in. He reacted as though it would be called off and everyone expected it to not count. They reviewed it really quickly and said because it was only a rotation and not a "pendulum" motion of the foot it was good. Sandelin stormed off before the handshake and said "nice job" to the refs on his way out. I'm guessing the twats in their fanbase are publicly filling their diapers...? Haha
  17. But their Hobey candidate/world class superstar Chris Wilkie is injured, how ever will they manage!?!?!
  18. That is an all time bad call. Holy cow.
  19. Incredibly disingenuous of FSN to list their conference ranking next to their name. Makes the casual viewer think they are 3rd and 6th in the country.
  20. Apparently 22 for STA is committed to UND for football.
  21. Are Kyler Kleven and Grant Frisch of Moorhead related to our recruits from the area with the same last names?
  22. Haha, certainly seems like it. I have no problem with the coaches wanting him to prove himself in Juniors rather than make the jump straight from HS. I bet we could find posts on here wanting Yon to jump straight in after his senior year. MN HS to NCAA to NHL is increasingly rare.
  23. Don't be surprised if he flounders in his USHL stint this year and gets some wear and tear on his suit next season considering the class Wisconsin brings in. UND suggested what he should do, and it conflicted with what his high school coach told him. Just looked at a draft ranking that came out today and he keeps dropping, fifth round projected now.
  24. https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/blackhawks-stan-bowman-dylan-strome-trade/ Discusses both Cagguila and Schmaltz, with quotes from the former.
  25. Growing up, every Saturday and Sunday morning my dad would look up the score for the Sioux game in the paper and share it with the family. I remember more than anything when I looked at the WCHA standings how CC and Tech were always the worst. That was also how you followed a team in those days; unless you lived locally you could only read the score. Now we can scrutinize every detail as it happens, rewatching with the punch of a button. This is both a blessing and a curse, certainly more of the former, but it's easy to be a casual fan. If you're truly a diehard fan, weather the storm and count the blessing that the streaks represented. All things come to an end, but the forecast is sunny. And yes, the occasional venting post is fine.
