  1. Listened to iHeartRadio tonight in Denver since it wasn’t on NCHC.tv

Hennessey is a first rate radio announcer and the side color on what’s going on with the team and the league is so much better than the Midco TV rubes. Any real information is nonexistent with them. And Katie’s hair drives the wife insane.

  2. One has to question whether this team will qualify for the tournament this year.  Looked like Omaha has more top of the line players than we do and for now they should be ranked higher than us. Much higher.  Have we lost our recruiting edge since Hak left?  Are the current players deaf to the coaching staff?  Will the new AD know anything about hockey?  Seems like a lot of questions around our proud program.

  3. Strong second on Travis Roche and Nick Naumenko.

Matt Greene, McWilliam, Smaby, Schneider.  More of my favorite defensemen.

And some body you guys never heard of: Jim Cahoon.  Centerman and Montreal Canadian draft choice from early 70's.

It's on here, a few pages back.

Thanks just watched it. Was at game but didn’t see the play. Absolutely can’t believe what was called after looking at the replay.  I agree that player was already injured and couldn’t take any kind of hit. This league will eat Monty up eventually and NHL would eat him up in a week.

When I first saw the Smith hit I thought it was an interference.  Then when the player was injured I thought he got hit in head.  Then I saw replay and that wasn't true.  Then boarding was called when the player never hit the boards.  Then I saw the replay on this site (since tv only showed once) and realized Smith wasn't even looking in the direction of the player.  He literally was reacting to being run into.

Can somebody post a replay of this hit please

Every time he talked about the Sioux he did it with respect. I always appreciated his tv calls. I love the video of blood pulling dipsh*t out of the line or was it Finley? But Frank said "what a cheesy way to get a guy" then Woog said "well Frank he was pulling him out of the line to fight him"!  He basically said .....you idiot to Frank but nicely. Haha

Or when he was announcing the Frattin team and he said "this Sioux team is fun to watch"!

He would invariably say that when playing UND his Gophers better strap things on tight because they are playing a team that comes out every time with a purpose and a mission.  Always something like that.  I think he respected us greatly.

Borgstrom is so good.  He's a legit bluechip NHL first rounder- think Parise, Oshie, Toews, Zajac, Stafford, Boeser caliber in the college game.  He can win games by his individual skill alone.  Throw in legit prospects in Terry and Gambrell...they are real good.

Borgstrom needs to be looking around for where the next hit is coming from.

  8. I talked to him at a UND pregame alumni party several years ago during the height of the naming transition.  I think he handled it about as well as he could, considering there were 10 guys standing around him asking pointed questions.  I kind of partially blamed him for the loss of the name at the time, but looking back at it, there would have had to be a higher power than him to get anything done with either the Tribe or the NCAA.  Kelley had no desire to get involved in that fray and didn't have the skills to do anything about it anyway.  Faison has accomplished alot during a very troubled time and I wish him nothing but the best in retirement.  If the next guy does as well as him, we will be in good shape.
