Forbes article: It's a great read. Apparently its common knowledge these experts are wrong a lot *cough* I mean fib... Despite World Panic, The Rate Of New Ebola Infections Is Already Slowing Down Sadly, I had to go back 5 years to find an honest assessment of "World Panic."

"Guess what kids? Since you dont have school, you're going to spend the week at Grandmas!"
-
The government is going to have to spent billions, if not trillions, bailing companies out.

If one person has Coronavirus at an Amazon warehouse (very likely) this will pass to a large portion of the country even with social distancing. And social distancing and panic at the big box stores means more people will be ordering stuff online.
-
Some 40% of Americans would struggle to come up with $400 for an unexpected expense.
-
Any guesses how many people this will affect? A million?
-
Who am I suppose to feel more sorry for? The 75 year old in the nursing home who might get Coronavirus Or The single mom in Washington State who just lost her income and no way to pay rent or daycare. Many sad stories on twitter about people wondering how they are going to survive and it's not a hypothetical. The governors said they have to shut down the inside of restaurants, casinos, movie theaters, bars, etc. And honestly this will shut down a lot of those small businesses permanently who wont be able to recover from the lack of income this is going to create for themselves.

"50 people is still too many." Ha
-
I had a hunch this might have been the case.

TV shows are now going off the air.
-
Well that didn't take long. Media member criticizing people for gathering at a bar. Now let's get them high school cafeteria pictures out there into the public people. Hurry!
-
Obama's lack of a sugary drink ban is what created this mess.
-
Why would you reopen schools March 28th? Unless you for whatever reason thought the virus would be on the decline then.
-
You think the President should shut down airports. What about Subways? Malls? Marathons? Parades? Churches? Concerts? Casinos? The entire strip in Vegas? If the media is going to show any picture of groups of people gathering and claiming "outlandish". We are in for a long Coronavirus season.
-
1) "Its okay to gather if it would otherwise adversely affect people." 2) "I cannot believe Trump is letting people gather in such a time of crisis!"
-
Sorry the President can't do everything for evergone. That looks like some high school cafeterias.
-
So we don't have to shut everything down if it adversely affects people? They can just shut down high schools then. High School kids can take care of themselves and those are the biggest gathering places in the state school wise.

Curfews are now being issued in New Jersey. Guess they didn't like people going to bars at night. If young people are such carriers why is any school open? I guess we are officially at the point where nothing is too dramatic right now to stop people from spreading the illness. Some believe this is the beginning and curfews will be nationwide. Any travel will be highly limited. This is the new snowball starting to roll down the hill....
-
Pretty sure it is though. Most experts are predicting between 700,000 to 1,200,000 Americans are going to die from the Coronavirus.
-
Excuse us if some of us are skeptical of the experts. Feels like we've went down this road a few times before. Could this finally be the one that is different? Sure. Will it be though? To be continued....
-
He says we're two weeks behind Italy. That puts us equivalent to about 7,000-8,000 Americans dead in two weeks from the coronavirus.
-
Social distancing too little too late. Experts predicting over 1,000,000 Americans will die.
-
I'm all for somebody (National Guard?) having resources (future events) to help handle the overflow of patients that hospitals cant seem to handle. There seems to be two different issues at play. 1) Stay home. Dont spread the virus. 2) People will die unrelated to the virus because our healthcare systems are already at max capacity.
-
Nice tirade. All I did was answer a question that, yes as a society we have decided the economy is sometimes more important than stopping the spread of a virus. As a society we have to decide where that line is.
-
As a society we decided that the 60,000 flu deaths last year was less important than the economy.
