When you go undefeated on your way to a third championship in a row and the best you can do is a head coach at Wyoming. Kleiman's phone might ring but it probably won't be anything he would want to take. Kleiman has only proved he can keep steering the boat straight. If Kleiman can win more championships at NDSU than Bohl his phone might ring more.

Schlossman response isn't guaranteed to be accurate either...unless someone is counting the number of former and current "Fighting Hawks" announced....Which apparently Brad is doing? WDAZ Who knows UND could decide they think it might have the "opposite effect" where they replaced it and could decide to remove it completely. Here comes your "Fighting Hawks" (during intros...and BOOOOOO the whole team?) doesn't seem to be any better (if not worse overall). But yes Rob, and his headlines always seem to be very "misleading." The point remains: The new nickname is so unpopular UND has changed the way they use it at UND athletic events because of booos.

Listening to KNOX 1310 a few days ago, They were talking gas prices. Guy called in (you could tell he was an older fellow)...."I was filling up at Lepiers Gas Station in Fosston a few years ago, a guy walked in and asked for the owner...."I'm from Simonson gas station in Grand Forks and you better raise your prices........." The host (Jay Thomas?) quickly cut him off and ended the call and then went on a tirade about how this show isn't going to spread rumors, legal actions, slander, not upset advertisers. It was interesting radio. I thought it was interesting. You hear about it all the time in Grand Forks talking to people. Then you read about it here on SS....it's one thing for hearsay, but to hear it on the radio (not saying its valid or not...and just another form of hearsay really but) just goes to show how far wide spread this "idea" is. I'm one for if there's smoke there's fire (Bruce Jenner, Gwen/Blake)

One is using it as their development league (college hockey). One was using it as their pro job (NHL).

I know it's "early still" but it's a crazy league this year. Boston College with a 13-4-1 record would be the last team in the tournament right now. Whats up with Harvard barely playing any games. About half the number of games as UND. Must be a Ivy league thing?

Saw a Fighting Hawks gear on TV this weekend for hockey vs Huntsville (front few rows). Also seen a few on tv for mens basketball.

They started cracking down just as it was getting good.

Unfortunately the spelling bee was pretty unclimatic.
