What's happened here toward Weatherby (if not true) is as bad or worse as anything that happened in that Twitter thread. nodak651 is correct when they said let all this play out. -

I could see needing four to replace Poolman, Peski, Kierstad, and JBD.

@jimdahl most up to date "Wins needed to likely end regular season at PWR rank" at CollegeHockeyRanked.com is up. Key takeaways: There are already about 30 teams in the "win out just to get to PWR15" category, if they can even get that high. And PWR15 gets you ousted by AHA's autobid. UND and Mankato, short of Biblical collapse, are going to be at-large entries.

Pre-game chant before the team goes to the playing surface? Well, see Blackheart's post.

@jimdahl You really need to get your CollegeHockeyRanked.com "Wins needed to likely end regular season at PWR rank" page to update earlier than 3 pm on Monday.

Hey, if we're pitching crazy I'm in. I have an odd (or is it an even) theory: Look at Scheel's and Thome's personal collegiate goaltending records. During odd number calendar years (like 2019) Scheel plays very well. During even number calendar years (like 2018, 2020) Thome plays very well. Calendar just rolled from odd to even ... -
A Legend.

Darn gravity.

We will need a left and a right (seniors Poolman and Peski). Is Kleven a senior or has Kleven accelerated? Sanderson has accelerated to come this fall. There's the lefty. I could see needing a L and an R beyond the seniors this fall (2020). The name I haven't seen here is Luke Bast (lefty, DOB 2000). As I've said, if Tychonick figures it out defensively, come fall 2021 there's small but real chance Frisch could be the old guy of the group. (Disclaimer: I more believe fall 2021 will be Tychonick, Frisch, and six. It'll look like fall of 2018 when it was Shaw, Poolman, and the rest. And yes, I'm a Frisch fan and biased; but I see Frisch becoming that Poolman-like player. Maybe not a captain, but that steady, reliable defenseman you can throw out at any time.)

Personally, I'm surprised Grant didn't "lose an edge" because of that tug on the stick and go down hard with all his weight on one knee ... on something. You know ... whatever was under foot. Like the ice or whatever.

You know you're big time when PCM covers you. http://blogs.und.edu/und-today/2020/01/lights-action-camera-eat/ And now you know what your Super Bowl pre-game plan are.

Apparently I'm the unlucky < bleep > here who is salaried exempt and doesn't get paid to travel on Sunday to end up still working a 50+ hour week.

Off to school with you!

Did someone say "Rock Ridge"? They should've been the Rock Ridge Johnsons.

Why do folks worry about bracketology today when we know it won't look anything like this when reality comes out? -
Consultants bill by the hour. Subtle yet finite difference.

One more thought: Other schools don't fret about having underclassmen (freshmen, sophomores) step onto the field as 1's or 2's. Why do we have this mindset that a QB (or other position) isn't ready until they are an upperclassman? It's about the player and their readiness, and not some letters in the "Class" column of the roster.

Clearly, with a collegiate start (and win) he has the inside track. What he does with it will be telling about him and his competition.
-
If you're going to tally student-athlete time spent on "athletic pursuits" (with our without coaching), up to and including travel time and time away from campus for competition, that is fine. Come up with that number. But I'll argue the "compensation" value should not just include the "scholarship" or "FCOA" number, but the total cost to the university per athlete (meaning travel and lodging and road meals, and the cost of game and training facilities, and coaches) costs. What did it "cost" the student-athlete; what did sponsoring the student-athlete "cost" the university?

Now that is both strategic and tactical.
