I don't believe we will nor are we required to choose a nickname by next year. Pilots is like many of the names out there. Nothing will generate much enthusiasm until a healing period of several years go by without a nickname. Then it will become more acceptable to support and develop a new logo and nickname.

I hate to admit this, but I think this time MplsBison made sense on this one. The facts are that both NDSU and UND will take chances on players with questionable character. It has happened to the Sioux football team as well. It is one thing if a kid comes in with a string of problems. If you take a chance on one of those, you get what you deserve. Otherwise, the coaches can't be keeping an eye on all the players all the time.
