kfah1
Just wanted to wish all those fourtunate enough to make it to St. Louis for the Frozen Four a great time! It's always a great great opportunity to travel and see the Sioux on the road but probably no more so than going to the Frozen Four. I have never been there (yet) and I hear it is a fantastic experience. I appreciate the chance to get on ss.com and read about those who are going, how you're getting there, who's going with who, what your going to do, how much you're going to drink... It gives me (a fan who can't make it) a chance to just feel that excitement somewhat. While there is just the tenniest bit on envy on my part, I actually feel proud knowing that there are great fans going to be there. I'll be with the family watching you and the team at our local BWW, wearing my Sioux gear, cheering everyone on! I'll will hoist a few (probably more...) for you and the team. So, without further ado... here's a toast to those who are going. Godpseed, safe travels, drink as much as you can without getting sick, cheer the boys on and bring them back home, carrying them on your shoulders after WINNING their 8th National Championship! I hope to get a chance to met some ss.com posters at Ford Field for the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four and watch the Sioux win #10 (if not before)! Have a great time... That game at Ford Field will be absolutely nuts I have a feeling. For the basketball national championship they had over 51,000 in attendance in what would be a similar setup in terms of seating in an NFL stadium. If the Frozen Four can get half of that in attendance, that would just be electric! Look at the past couple special games in unique setups like the game last year between Ohio State and Wisconsin at Lambeau Field. They had like 40,000 or something if I remember right as well. I really hope that they figure out a way to make a good atmosphere at Ford Field. I watched that Lambeau game, and the despite the fact that the attendance was great, it did not appear that the setup was very good (ice in the end zone, very little to no seating outside of the regular football bleachers). It just seems to me that sightlines will be all out of whack... But I guess I'll keep an open mind about it, and I'll probably head over to Detroit. With that much seating, tickets shouldn't be too hard to get (hopefully). On another note, everyone going to STL...safe travels!
