SiouxMD Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Maybe he could aspire to be Director of Opertations. Film exchange, travel coordinator of a D 1 school, then go to a D2 school and become a head coach. That is really the best path!! You nailed the first part... Quote
The Sicatoka Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 From: http://www.in-forum.com/Sports/articles/161731 Mayville State men's basketball coach Craig Smith was named Colorado State's director of basketball operations, reuniting the former North Dakota State assistant with mentor Tim Miles. I've heard that title before. Where was that ... Oh, that's right. NDSU's new coach, Saul Phillips, and UND's coach, Brian Jones, each were director of basketball operations at major DI schools before becoming head coaches at (or at soon to be) DI programs. Sounds like Craig Smith just punched that part of his ticket on the road to the DI head coaching ranks. Congrats Mr. Smith. Quote
