Film exchange, travel coordinator of a D 1 school, then go to a D2 school and become a head coach. That is really the best path!! You nailed the first part... I've heard that title before. Where was that ... Oh, that's right. NDSU's new coach, Saul Phillips, and UND's coach, Brian Jones, each were director of basketball operations at major DI schools before becoming head coaches at (or at soon to be) DI programs.
