siouxnami Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I bought a new laptop yesterday, and I am learning the software. Looks nice, but I haven't seen any new features that appera very profound yet. Anybody doing anything interesting with Vista? Quote
PCM Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 All I can say is that the Toshiba laptop I bought just before Christmas came with a free upgrade to Windows Vista Premium. But every time I try to apply for the online upgrade, it's rejected. If I ever find a way around that problem, I'll let you know what I think of Vista. Quote

sprig Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Vista is merely an XP service pack that Microsoft chose to charge for, at least in the basic and premium editions (and I don't know what other additions there are). Quote
NanoBison Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I just installed the Microsoft Vista Ultimate Edition on my home computer. Blows XP out of the water. Can't wait to build a new system with only 64-bit hardware, so I can install the 64-bit version of the OS on it... Quote

Diggler Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Vista is for weenies. It's full of security holes and like all initial releases of Microsoft OS's sucks. I'd wait a year until they patch it. Quote
