I was making a reference to the fact that a coordinator has approximately one-half the responsibility of a head coach, but a position coach(especially tight end and linebacker ala Babich) only has about one tenth the responsibility of a head coach.

I can't disagree with that.

I guess I've always liked to see head coaches who have been head coaches somewhere else, even if it is at another level. I just like to know they can handle any job that is defined as "the buck stops here."

Prior to returning to UND, Lennon was the head coach for two seasons (1997-98) at the University of Mary, where he posted a 12-9 record. In 1998, the Marauders were 8-3, won the league championship, made the NAIA playoffs and Lennon was named the North Dakota Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
