iramurphy Posted September 2, 2006 Share Posted September 2, 2006 Justin Knopf, a UND engineering student, was injured in Iraq Wednesday. Justin is from Detroit Lakes and was a teammate of 2 of the Manke brothers. One of his fellow soldiers, Josh Hanson, from Dent, Mn. (who I believe played HS FB at Pelican Rapids) was killed in the same incident by a roadside bomb. The news report indicated Justin's injuries were not life threatening. Justin also served a tour in Bosnia. This is the second interuption of his college career to serve his country. His fellow soldier Josh Hanson had also served in Bosnia.
