PHE Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 According to the LA Times, the Kings have given permission to both the Rangers and the Stars to interview Dave Tippett for their head coach vacancies. Tippett is known in the NHL circles as a highly respected coach with a great work ethic. He also managed the Kings power play unit which was the best in the NHL. Best of all he's a Sioux alum and a member of the 1982 national championship team! Go Tip, Go! Quote
dagies Posted May 9, 2002 Posted May 9, 2002 He also managed the Kings power play unit which was the best in the NHL. Can he consult with next year's Sioux squad to improve the performance in that area? Quote
Goon Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 Check out the Stats for the AHL playoffs you will see quite a few former WCHA allstars and fighting Sioux hockey players. Looks like Bayda and Skarparud had pretty good playoff series. http://www.theahl.com/AHLCalderCup02/statistics.html Quote
