Greybeard Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 With the recent news on the Duncan guy, who used to live in Fargo, my memory went back to the Dru murder. I live in the Twin Cities, so I don't get all the ND news coverage. My question: What was the official reason why the trial was delayed so long? My understanding is it will not be held until next March, March of '06. How can this make any sense? Was this strictly a defense motion to let public passion (the jury pool) quiet down? Quote

I believe that looking to the Justice Department in its decision to try this as a death penalty case definitely added to the delay in this trial. Quote
ESPNInsider Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Speaking of that idiot Duncan, his blog is still available to view on the net and is very interesting. For those of you that are interested in that kind of weird thing the site is here. If you go back and read from the beginning you can follow his transition into the evil person he is today. I felt pretty ugly after reading it as it is pretty weird and sick and it will make you pretty angry. It is also quite long so give yourself some time if you are going to read it. I'm not trying to advertise anything for this idiot, but I just find this stuff fascinating. Quote
ScottM Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 The AP/Strib is reporting that the death penalty can be considered as punishment in the event of a guilty verdict. Strib Quote
