The Sicatoka Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Could it be that the world is coming again? http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/11840130.htm Jim Thomasson says he gets laughs when he tells people he's planning a major national bioethics conference that could attract as many as 2,000 people to Grand Forks. .... He's also got confirmations from 76 of the best biomedical research and ethics thinkers from the United States, Great Britain and New Zealand on board to be presenters. "It has begun to take on a life of its own," Thomasson said. "I have no doubt we're going to get that large of an audience. In fact, I'm afraid we're going to have people standing outside." .... Thomasson, from his base in The Woodside Center in Mentor, Minn., is making big plans for his national conference that will delve into all aspects of the ethics of biomedical research and practice. It's set for Oct. 24 to 26 in the Alerus Center. It's too bad Canad didn't get their hotel up and running in time for this. Quote
ScottM Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Meh. If they had a Legal Ethics conference, they could hold it in a broom closet. Quote
