Jason Simmons, two-year starter at quarterback for the University of Minnesota, Crookston, will transfer at the end of the fall semester. Simmons, a redshirt sophomore this year, said that he is looking at four schools including Western Washington, Humbolt College (Cal.), the University of North Dakota and conference foe, Concordia-St. Paul. Simmons said the decision was not easy for him. The article goes on to state that he would switch positions, likely to WR, at his new school. He's got a "game-experienced" Belmore and heavily recruited Manke in front of him. IMO, he'd have to be very talented to pull the QB job from these two... He was the starting qb and played with Chris Kuper. He is one of the toughest, most competitive kid I have ever coached. I think he could play for the sioux an be pretty successful, but I think he is looking for a school closer to home...Western State or a west coast school.
