JESUS,family, rutgers Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 I know North Dakota has a domed football stadium, but do you have outdoor practice fields that the Sioux use depending on the away opponents' field---grass/artificial surface? Thanks. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 I know North Dakota has a domed football stadium, but do you have outdoor practice fields that the Sioux use depending on the away opponents' field---grass/artificial surface? Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> UND started playing in a domed stadium during the 2001-2002 season. This just happened to be the first year ever that they won the national championship. Until the 2001 season they played at memorial stadium, and i imagine they still use this as a practice field. Quote
JESUS,family, rutgers Posted October 28, 2004 Author Posted October 28, 2004 Is the old stadium grass or artificial turf? Quote
BigGame Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Turf, and they have grass practice fields right behind Memorial Stadium. Quote
Sioux1 Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 They practice at memorial during the week. If they play on grass over the weekend they practice on the grasss fields behind memorial. If it's a home game they start practice at the Al on thursdays. Quote
SiouxMeNow Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 there's a plan (buried deep in UND athletics) to put an inflatable dome over the field at Memorial to make it a year round indoor practice facility. That would be very cool... Quote
