Canuck
Curtis Glencross signs with Anaheim: http://www.goseawolves.com/index.cfm?fuseA...y&story_id=1584 What a big loss for Alaska Anchorage. I'm not sure they could have seen this one coming. After a 21-goal sophomore season, Glencross was looking like a potential all-WCHA guy for the next two years. This has to set UAA back a step or two heading into next year.
PCM
It is a big loss, especially after both of UAA's top goalies graduated, too. Oh well, the Seawolves still have Fournier to carry them.
sioux fan in phoenix
The defections are coming left & right now. Danis, Pock, Mauldin & others. They're not wasting any time going pro once their respective teams are finished for the year.

It is going to be a tough road for this team to continue building their program when players like Glencross leave early.

redwing77
So far, the biggest losers are UAA and UMass (counting both senior departures and early departures)
Fighting Sioux Fan
All the work to get into the Final Five this year, and next year UAA will probably fall on its ass again!

Mankato and MTU have looked pretty "strong" on the "flopometer" so they may fall, but I don't think they'll fall that far. It REALLY depends upon who is taking over in goal. I thought they got the interest of one of the top goaltenders in one of the canadian junior A teams... AJHL or BCHL. Could be wrong.

Well, they defected in that they left without completing their senior academic coursework.
