Cratter Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) I might be late to the party, but I saw Mark Cuban on twitter claiming how he has helped Indiana basketball has become the first "Virtual Reality Broadcast In College Basketball."http://www.sporttechie.com/2015/10/23/first-virtual-reality-broadcast-college-basketball-coming-via-mark-cubans-sports-media-technology-center/Then I realized, I've seen this before:Curious, I did some research and you can turn you're phone into one of these VR Machines for cheap with Google Cardboard.Ordered one and tried it. I must say it is pretty cool. I was impressed. Can't wait for UND hockey to be broadcast...hoping by 2020. Anyone else tried it? Edited November 13, 2015 by Cratter Quote
Cratter Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Colbert mentioned he owns a Tesla, which are awesome. If you haven't seen it they have updated the cars software and it will now drive itself. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I'm the only nerd here?VR is very cool and a useful tool for architecture. The ability to tske clients through a building and see how the scale will be is priceless. We have an Occulus system at our disposal in the NDSU architecture department. Quote
